Pendulums are my main tools for divination and finding lost and especially finding lost things. Sometimes my pendulum pointed towards my door, and I thought it was bluffing, but it turned out that my evil eye owl necklace was in my car the whole time. I like to say thank you to the pendulum for assisting me. Idk it just feels better that way.

Happy New Year everyone!! Out of curiosity, does anyone have any spiritual goals they wish to achieve (or at least start working on) next year? Personally I want to start getting to know plants in my area- everything from physical traits to magical properties. I want to keep a specific journal/grimoire for this purpose only, so that I have something to refer back to in the future and I don’t need to dig through a bunch of other stuff to find it!

@ 2:44 I had a similar situation to this. I wrote my manifestation on a large sheet of paper and I burned it on the stove while my mother was in the shower. Everyone could smell the burnt paper and you can see the smoke coming from it. My mother kept yelling at me to check the stove to see if something is burning and I lied and told her I don't see anything. She believed me because the neighbours would often burn stuff at night. Once it was burnt a large peice of ash remain that was still bright orange from the fire, I scooped it up and threw it outside and to hide the evidence and to be safe I threw water on it. Never again will I burn a whole sheet of paper, writing my manifestation on tiny pieces of paper and burning them on the stove is much safer than a whole a$$ sheet. So any baby closet witch out there using the stove to burn things, use tiny pieces of paper not a whole page or sheet. Even if no one is home that smoke is not good for you and it takes a while to get the smoke out of the house because it spread everywhere and it took a while to finally leave. Don't be ignorant about fire & smoke like me. 🙂 Edit: I actually *low key* did thought of lying to her and making a fake confession that I've been smoking but I knew that was too crazy because I have no way to prove that I've been smoking and no way to prove that I could even get my hands on something to smoke so I just told her I saw nothing burning on the stove... 😐 Edit: I'm glad I learned how to bond with a pendelum because it's the main divination tool I use while being in the closet because you can make it out of anything. I first made it with a white sewing thread & a white button, I don't remember where it is now so I gotta make a new one but I made one for Bastet by using a silver necklace I had (yes I know she likes gold, I don't have any!) And tying a white button with a dark blue sewing thread and I wear it as a bracelet on my right hand (because she showed me she wants me to wear it on my right hand which makes sense after finding more random information about her). The more I use the pendelum the better I get at feeling the energy and understanding what direction it's pulling towards. Also, if any closet witch reads this long a$$ comment and you wanna make an altar for a deity, you can claim under your pillow as an altar (that's what I'm doing). I cleared out my stuff, removed the dust, and placed my note to Bastet there and now it has a drawing of her, my hair offering, and a cat claw offering. I also had an expensive name brand perfume sample and gave it to her and I sprayed a little on her altar too, I also put the pendelum there at night. I was able to balance a cup of wine offering near her altar because there's a bag of books there, as for food I can't leave it open without my parents bugging me too much so I feed it to the cats in honour of her, sometimes I would also drink the wine for her. If anyone wants to give offerings to her, don't give her sweets, I first did that because I didn't know what she liked and when I finally asked her she said no to the sweet stuff, not even cake or chocolate.

(Story about how i accidentally Jinxed someone. This wasn't that long ago and it was also my first spell of any kind) There's this guy that likes me and he gets on my nerves,one day like a month ago i thought about how much i didn't want to see him the whole week(at a specific place),and then i didn't see him 5 weeks went by and I still hadn't seen him which was unusual. Then i saw him at a homeschool meet up (We're in a homeschool group and class together) thing and he said that he'd be at ( homeschool class) that week,so i was like oh great😑 Then he wasn't there,and I heard one of the parents in the homeschool group say that he fell and hurt his ankle the day before so he wouldn't be able to go for a few weeks,and then we also have Thanksgiving break so that's an extra week that i won't see him lol 😂 (He has had a crush on me for almost a year and is extremely annoying so i guess all thay built up anger helped me jinx him accidentally. I did get confirmation from deities that i did infact jinx him btw.)

What if I became a witch again? I used to be a witch and I was awful at it 😅, I also used it for the aesthetic and wasn't really actually into it. (I know that's bad pls don't be mean :( ) My mom bought me some crystals today and I was thinking, maybe I should give it another go? I don't really know what I should do. It also might be a lot of work, I mean all the studying and hard work that goes into witchcraft makes me nervous. Also!! My boyfriend is a witch so maybe I could connect with him more if I became one! P.S. No I am not wanting to do witchcraft just because it looks cool, I actually believe in the stuff these people are saying and I want to go on a spiritual journey myself and figure out who I really am. in my experience it has a lot of helpful associations, but i don’t use it for just anything. i’m sure it could be incorporated into many workings tho just because it’s one of the more versatile :) and if you believe it can be used as a substitute & it works for you, i’m nobody to tell you otherwise

@@seekerstheshy3842 i’ve seen it on pinterest a lot in substitute guides and practitioner on a budget type guides. some people also post other peoples stuff on pinterest so it can be hard to find and verify a source. i think that tip has also been circulating on tiktok for a while. neither are sites i use for serious research. i think both have their purposes in my practice tho. i like the aesthetic pictures and videos they both have :)

nothing can replace *anything*. it's best to get a dictionary on the witchy meanings on herbs to use as a reference so you can know good substitutions when you don't have something on hand :)

I find rosemary highly programmable with different intentions, but usually better option is to understand what meaning has herb (or any other ingredient in specific working) in tradition it comes from (like Italian witch will link different meanings to different herbs than slavic one) and find other herb that corresponds with that meaning in your own practice :). Contrary to popular belief there's no set-in-stone-one-and-only ingredients and their correspondences list, it varies depending on cultural background and personal believes and practices. Rose is highly programmable too, but I won't use it just because I don't like it, period. There's nothing wrong with using subtitutes and there are times and situations where using as small variety of it as possible is must (there are witches on a budget, that don't live somewhere where they can just forage ingredients, there are closed witches etc.). I also applaud every effort of using more affordable, local and just more available resources. Rosemary hack is not necessarily wrong all together - it works for you, isn't it? - but often is exaggerated and taken out of context (usually by not mentioning programming it for the intention or using absolutes in description). So you do you :) *sorry for any language mistakes, I left my english at home today :)

I'm usually a pop culture witch but since my practice is bardic I feel like Thoth is the god of words i and Apollo the god music is probably my main guys if I needed to speak with the ancient gods. And for the feminine Isis goddess of spells. The ancient gods I will use in my more hedge witch potion magic practice cause they are more tied to tradition craft. I like to have a mixture of both pop culture and traditional magick.

hey, so i was wondering do i have to say anything out loud, like for example with the pendulum, do i have to say "show me what yes looks like" out loud bc my father works night so hes home during the day and my moms home at night and they are super strict so i was wondering if things of witchy sorts would work even without me saying them out loud

I have the same problem, but I use tarot cards as my main divination tool. I find that if you clear your mind and put all of your will into what you want to get out of said tool, then whatever you're trying to do will sense it the same way we can sense them. I dunno if this'll help, but it helps me!

So… here’s what I think you should do: Pick the pendulum that you most use/are drawn to. Carry it around with you for a while, so it gets used to your energy. After a while, the answers will become more accurate. Three days minimum of carrying it. If you’re trying to communicate with a spirit, then use the pendulum that you have NOT Been carrying. It’s energy won’t be used to yours, so spirits can communicate easier. And remember, PENDULUMS ARE AN INTUITIVE TOOL. If you’re pendulum is different than your intuition, then trust your intuition first. Don’t forget to cleanse your pendulum AND yourself. Remember… the pendulum is the channel and you are the medium. Just cleansing your pendulum won’t get you anywhere. If you need more help, let me know.❤
