I see it as a different rendition. While the original displays Dave’s frustration this portrays a different emotion for the same situation, that being sadness/depression.

I will say Grohl's version is during the height or rage and fighting and passion, but BA's version is that quiet voice inside your head during the rage and turmoil thundering in your ears. That quiet voice still reminding you of the truth, that questioning, in the back of your head. Both versions are awesome and nobody should be disparaging or telling BA how to do a cover. Do it yourself if you feel so impassioned!

i love boyce avenue, but i have to agree with that one. seems like i'm not the only one who thinks this one is not really a good cover, because it's powerless. or maybe we just got used to the original too much.
@svendlundby36386 жыл бұрын
But you need to have in mind that they are playing the song in two very different music genres. Dave sings it raw and powerful, but Boyce avenue sings it light and kinda more like a pop ballad, which as a Foo Fighters fan i don't mind at all. The Original "Bet of you" is of course better, but if you are talking about their voices then Boyce avenue has better pitch, but he doesn't sing rock so he holds the notes longer and doesn't scream. Dave though is an awesome singer, but i don't think he's more power in his voice especially now that he's older.
@emarteczka12 жыл бұрын
1017 haters? you know, it's a cover - it will never be so great as original, but anyway Boyce Avenue gives this song something special and extraordinary, i have no clue what it is, but i'm freaking out when i hear their covers, specialy this one.

+Max Power I don't mind the covering part, it's the lack of feeling when he's singing this song that bothers me. This isn't a song to make all "pretty pretty" with because the lyrics demands that rawness in the voice. It's as if the singer didn't even try with this cover, that's my problem with it.

Everyone making bad covers should stop because the whole point of a cover is that it's your version of a song. So stop with all the bad comments because this is a beautiful cover (even if it's not the same as the original ). You shouldn't say mean things just cause you don't like it. I'm sure you wouldn't say that to his face. You just say it cause you won't get caught and stuff. I dunno why people think it's ok to say mean things over the Internet
@PowaShammy11 жыл бұрын
I like Alejandro, he's a great talent and you can tell he has worked hard on his music and understanding music itself, he can play multiple instruments extremely well and can sing faultlessly while playing them, not all of them at once ofc. But and it is a big but, there's something missing. His singing is great but it doesn't seem to do the songs he sings justice, he creates great covers of songs in a new style which are actually really good, but they don't move me like the original does. I don't want to use words like boring or bland, but it seems to me that Alejandro is trying so hard to get it right, we don't hear the passion from him. If I ever met him, I'd probably shout at him that "IT DOESN'T HAVE TO BE PERFECT, IT HAS TO HAVE EMOTION!" He has a great passion for music, I just hope he finds out that he can take the shackles off and show that passion through his music.
@citolucas11 жыл бұрын
With all due respect, I have to disagree, most of his songs I feel even more emotion than in the original ones, but that can be me only. There is one os his covers that made my mind blown: "demons - imagine dragons" I felt everything there was to feel while listening to that cover.

+ryan pelaez Not necessarily. Dave obviously wrote it with tempo and a fierceness as the person in the song is fighting back. It's not a copy of the song. You may prefer the original but it seems like people are just belitting that this is a brilliant cover just because Foo is the original. People keep saying the origonal is better, the issue with that is the origonal has more of an outward emotion, with powerful "Shouting" vocals. One of Alejandro's talents is that he can take any song and change the entire emotion of it, he turned this song into an inward emotion with a softer side to it. Music is an art, and art is meant to be dictated by the people for what they feel. They are both amazing, The song itself is powerful, and depends on the people dictating.
