In about 1983 celebrated New Years and several days after in the small town of Opatija. Back then was Yugoslavia. Was a real experience and not one to forget. Was there on an Armed Forces recreation tour. Pretty sure we were being monitored but still great experience and would love to return some day. Made a side trip to Postojnska Jama caves, well worth the visit.

SO glad you had lunch there.the food is divine..I had beef cheeks with a very mellow red, perfect..I stayed at a gorgeous little hotel seconds away and couldn't stop pulling up a chair to dine there..bonza wine list too with lots by the glass..

Each time i see Croatia i am determined to go there on a land trip. We stopped in Dubrovnik and enjoyed it very much but would like a more intense tour there. As an aside, Nancy, you are so nicely tanned! Tons of sunny days. Cheers from 🇨🇦!

The water organ is very nice. I would love it if you did a segment about the different companies that you may have used ( like Today) or Viator or whatever else that you could use worldwide! I'm used to using the ship excursions but would like to use another vendor sometimes. Just kind of scared we won't get back in time!

Split is my favorite city in the world. My family is on Korcula island I miss it very much we haven’t been in 9 years! You must visit Prizba next time it’s very beautiful there.

I was hoping that you would say how much the standard "tip" is per hour for these Guru tours. I assume you are back home now and starting to get back to your other life. I am hoping that at the end of this series of videos that, you will talk about the 9 months time frame and whether it is too long or not long enough. I know that I met someone on your cruise who said he hit a wall at about 6 months versus those people who think they will enjoy living on a traveling cruise ship. Another thing I would be interested in is learning more about your trip budget. I have been doing my own world cruise since the covid lock downs ended in January 2022 and will likely end that phase of my life in 2026. I tend to do 2 or 3 cruises in a row to save on transportation time and expenses as well as having to pack and unpack. I have already gone on 7 cruises this year and will do 2 nore near the end of the year and have 7 planned for 2025. I would also like to hear if you would bring more or less stuff with you next time and if you would do another world cruise or a partial one like they do on Holland America. I know that I would do a leg or too of a RCCL World Cruise again just for the menu upgrade. I knew Carlos, your staff captain, from a month of cruising in August/September of 2022 and he commented to me about the experience of spending a whole contract with your group then going home and returning and your group was still there and that was an unusual experience for him. I did something like that this past spring where I was on a ship for 3 weeks for Bangkok to Tokyo, then went home for 4 weeks before returning to Tokyo to take the ship on north thru Japan to Alaska ending in Victoria. I liked seeing the crew again when I returned, especially the cruise director and the captain, but the staff captain, that I knew from 2019, had gone home to his life of he and his wife traveling to sailing regattas to watch their son compete. By coincidence, my 10 weeks this spring was the exact same time as the Captain's 10 weeks contract, his first on that ship, and I believe that he was hinting that I should try to schedule another cruise with him since we had enjoyed talking about the people, places and experiences we had in common while he also made a point of telling me that he had no sailing experience at all unlike his staff captain. I am looking forward to hearing about your experiences on leg 16, and I am only about three quarters of the way through completing my travel book from that short trip with you folks. If I do manage to complete that book, it will be my only completed book, so I understand how hard you folks work on your video series which I have come to enjoy so much, so thanks for sharing your experiences with us.
