Nope, actually it's usually the MAN or Mercedes trucks that win the European rally truck trials. The Tatra's overhang cabin gets them stuck too often in deep trenches.

The first one in old school vehicles looks like it was used in a Tony Curtis film, I think it was called “Monte Carlo, or bust”, Tony Curtis at his Smoothest and over the top charmer, even though it was (meant to be) a comedy. A really interesting and informative list, and even though I am not a “petrol head” I wouldn’t mind getting my hands on the Ferret, looks like it could be great fun to drive, especially if it had a functioning gun to play with. It had no throttle only a alligator clip to clip on the handlebars to complete thw circuit and go. Scary starts but fun as hell, this was around 1972 or 73 when lawn darts n such were legal and kids had fun. lol
