Fantastic episode as usual, most of the people driving expensive cars period have a loan for them, at 23 lower your expectations and buy within your budget. The Land Rover looks like an awesome bit of kit, very accomplished. I hope Duggo gets the Ineos. Duggo has a very interesting imagination and thought process. Keep up the awesome work

What is the protocol for setting off the PLB? How bad does the situation need to be before it is activated?

Because a PLB doesn't provide any information about what the emergency is it should only be activated when you are in grave and imminent danger or when faced with a life threatening situation.

@@BackChat thanks, I thought so. There was a KZbin family recently that activated a PLB on a track for a mechanical breakdown, not all that far out from town in the north west. Made me think about how serious it has to get before deployed.

Pretty sure it is an 80km/hr impact 40 + 40 = 80. Both vehicles going from 40 to 0 so the speed is added

@ It was tested on Mythbusters, really interesting episode, the results are below 😎😎 Two cars crashing into each other at 50 mph will result in the same damage (for each car) as a single car hitting a wall at 50 mph. CONFIRMED In their small scale tests, the MythBusters compressed clay at 1x and 2x speeds. Their results showed that two objects hitting each other at 1x speed will cause 1x damage. In their full scale tests, the MythBusters crashed two cars into a wall at 50 and 100 mph as references. They then had two cars going at 50 mph collide into each other. After surveying the results, it was clear that the two cars suffered damage identical to the car that crashed into the wall at 50 mph. The MythBusters explained that was possible through Newton’s third law of motion. Although the total force was doubled by having two cars, that force also had to be divided between both cars during the crash.
