Honestly I like this format. It shows which players have ability using the ball and goalkeepers that have chance to block the goal Also do not say this is easy because we have seen easy failed goals and without goalkeepers a lot of time and sometimes of those "Prestigious" players. One big example how Torres failed that open goal with Chelsea vs Manchester United.

These types of penalties are much fairer than the traditional ones, these allow keepers to use more of their skills rather than guessing left or right,

This is a clear example and one of the biggest reasons of why we have not been a significant player in the game of “soccer”, we had been trying to force our view of the game down the thoughts of the rest of the planet ... OUR PURE GAME OF FOOTBALL
@2ndEndingVintage5 жыл бұрын
Counterargument: many FIFA rules are just plain DUMB (I have been a Grade 7 licensed ref since 2003).....Nobody 'forcing' anything on anyone. Makes game more exciting, and it puts the GK on more equal footing with shooter. It was a cool rule.

This is fun. Would be cool to see stuff like this in a football equivalent of an All Star Weekend. Like with the NBA they have these fun challenges to see world class players do skills or shootouts. No reason why we can't have a FIFA version of that.

MLS is actually okay enough now. It's the 2nd best league in its continent behind Liga MX, and has some decent competition. But from 1996-99, when the only players entering the league were players from NCAA soccer or guys from other parts of the CONCACAF Hex that isn't Mexico... it was rough.

@peterleschinski81987 жыл бұрын
I'd rather have this then penalties to decide cup games obviously not league games. Shows more skill then just normal penalties which is more of a mental thing. And I disagree that european players would just chip the keeper, how many times do you see a player one on one with the goalkeeper and somehow fuck it up.
