I like your detailed analysis of song lyrics. As a 60+ yr old music listener, I've heard so many songs. But since I was raised on radio hits, a song with a "hook" or "rhythm" always caught my ear. These sisters have brought that back. They've started to advance from their teenage years of songwriting into new areas with their latest album. BUT, their real strength is with live performances. Take on any request for a live song at Pepsi Center or Teatro Metropolitan and you'll suddenly toss off your songwriter cap and become an emotional fan. God Bless and keep up the good work!

My interpretation of the whole “Let me drown” metaphor, based on what Pau has said about the meaning of the song, is someone wanting to deal with their emotions or turmoil on their own. It is more about gaining emotional resiliency (a theme in a few of their songs) than giving up. 👍😎

This band is amazing live! They feed off the crowd energy and in return give the energy back.... You can even feel that in their live videos... And another couple songs where Dany's vocals shine are Martirio and Hell You Call a Dream.

The video of the girl in the water says a lot about the song, at first she is drowning but after spending time in the water suffering, she discovers that she can swim in it, that after all it is a situation she can handle.

Okay Okay okay, let's just go back to the whole drowning thing with a different metaphorical interpretation: The Water is "The Unconscious", or often similarly our unthought deepest feelings about things. If, in a dream, or in a moment of desperation we could surrender to being taken underwater to 'breathe' in our deepest feelings and therefore (in a psych sense) bring them to the surface, perhaps it would be worth those moments of surrender where we feel like we're drowning. Perhaps even we would want our current conscious mind to be 'choked' off by either a dream character or simply by the process of being overwhelmed finally by our deeper but suppressed understandings. The struggle here is for someone who has too much self control and wants to give it up in order to face the truth, but is afraid to do so. They need their unconscious actors to come bring them under. The tears and jewelry part is a perfect mirror of how such a person would see themselves in a literal mirror: Wanting to cry and despair, but unable to do so because they're too in control. Now, I don't know if this is a correct interpretation ('correct' is kind of silly anyway), but considering how disciplined the girls have been for so many years it seems to draw a picture of a person with incredible depth but tons of self control. Those elements often come into conflict in exactly the way this song describes. How do you keep a bridle and spurs on a racehorse?

Their Error Album is very much D iffrent/ better then the keep me fed album because of 1 thing,,They wrote all their own music on Errer & before,,The keep me fed Album is good but very simplistic musically & Lyrically, because of co -writers ! You can tell it was put together fast most likely because of pressure from record label unlike all the older stuff they wrote themselves ,,
