The antenna is no longer on Amazon. I bought it when it was still for sale on Amazon, and can confirm it is an absolute BEAST. We are mostly UHF here in the Houston area, and mine is kinda pointed as a split between the major stations transmitted in the south of Houston, and the more independent channels transmitted in the north. My UHF is 100% signal level, period. VHF is about 65%. Everything comes in great, no drops, no blocking. But ya, this is a very UHF focused antenna, which makes sense for the modern FCC channel repack which put the major carriers on UHF. The antenna is still for sale from the company, ANI-AV, for $60. Ebay has it for $90. The model is ANI-273LR. Worth every penny.

That’s so awesome I’m glad to hear it. I didn’t know if you knew but I’m shooting straight through trees still great signal. I did have to zip tie the wings on top and bottom because they don’t lock in but yea, just testing and comparing apples to apples is really how we get the right stuff!! Thanks for that! 🙏🏻

Ya man, it's a shame this antenna doesn't have any youtube reviews, I just stumbled on yours and audibly gasped at the sheer luck. I recommended to the Antenna Man check it out, but my request fell on deaf ears. So basically the reviews from real antenna heads on Amazon sold me on it. The duct tape/zip tie mod is a good tip. I haven't done that mod, but I will be keeping an eye on the reflectors to see if I will need to in the future. Also, your loss in signal probably resulted from the lower transmission power that was also part of the FCC signal repack. Keep on making awesome content!

@@DrivingVertigo oh btw I do have a cheap 10$ Onn amplifier connected to the coaxial before connected to my Amazon recast box. It definitely makes a difference. Get yourself one and see how many more channels you get whether you are using recast, direct in to tv, or a DVR. From testing it makes my channels more stable and finds more channels. I think I called out the antenna guy in this video or another one. Lol. ..That’s funny. He’s not very helpful. I’ve had to trial and error everything 🤦🏼♂️

@@rockernro I'll keep that in mind about the cheap Onn booster if I have to split the signal to other rooms. But I pick up EVERYTHING Houston has to offer. Only reason I get 65% VHF (that's on the low side of signal, I prefer to be conservative on the numbers) is because the signal has to pass through all the downtown skyscrapers to reach me. It's just religious TV and Vietnamese shop at home networks, anyway lol, so it would probably be a benefit if I couldn't pick them up. The only way I could get more channels is if I got a rotator to point towards Beaumont, and that would just get me different local affiliate stations. So ya, the antenna is a BEAST.

@@DrivingVertigo you sound pretty competent in this field!! Yeah so I pay for spectrum internet so one line outside in the box on the house is my internet. I like to game on the PS5 every now and then so I had to have the main cable internet line come into my living room. So after messing with wires on the splitter I routed the main regular cable line which would be for tv to my bedroom. That’s the one I use with the recast box. What’s great about it is that it’s WiFi and allows up to two devices or fire sticks to use the antenna. Basically my fire stick or echo you saw (I renamed Alexa). Comes up under live Tv and shows all the channels I found in my bedroom in the living room. Pretty great setup. I’m glad you found the “beast!” Best of luck to ya my man!
