Love your honesty about the needed bulk for nighttime diapering. It's been 30 years since I cloth diapered my kids back in the day...poor things went to bed with four prefolds and plastic pants on.... Yes, their butts rivaled Kim Kardashian. ...lol But, it got the job done.

TG I don't have to add this much bulk (because of the fitted) to my 30 lb-18 month old- heavy wetter! GMD medium prefold, a thirsties hemp insert and a microfiber insert inside a good cover is all the magic for us. Maybe you could show us how the Dinosized gigantosorous diapers look with the PJ's on your babies? My baby waddles like a duck and walks so cute with her day or nighttime diapers! We are all happy cloth diapering full time so who cares for seeing a big bum☺️

+Teresa BritoPadilla It's great that you've found a great solution that works for you! That's the biggest part of cloth diapering, just finding diapers or different solutions that work for you. I did show a bit of the nighttime diapers in my Day In the Life of a Cloth Diapering Mom but I can definitely do a full video on overnight cloth diaper fits and of the look/fit under pjs. I personally think they look cute with the big fluffy bums but my toddler definitely has a bit of a waddle too haha My family calls it the Kardashian booty.

Great options! Totally feel you on the “just add a booster” line ha. Soaking was a must for my toddlers nighttime diaper. We soaked for 30 mins then squeezed out the diaper as much as possible. Otherwise the diaper pail would smell so strong. Can’t wait for your wash routine vid. I’d love to be able to skip that step ha.

I love the grovia bamboo cotton prefolds! My baby is almost 20lvs and he still is in the same size 2 and I still have not had a single issue with them! They're awesome!

omg, so happy i found this video, i have a 15month old exreme heavy wetter and as you said, all the videos on yt are just useless for me, i have to use disposables over night cos i havent found any diaper that would last whole night, we use night time boosters during the day for like 2 hours max. also there is very limited choice of diapers here in czech republic, and those inported from the US are way to expensive for us. just ordered some hemp blend fitted ones with fleece layer, cannot wait to try them. thank you so much for this video. subscribed. love b.

BTW, I always rinse (never soak) the nighttime diapers since, this one step keeps me from ever having to strip the diapers....and I hand wash the cover just to be gentle on these...unless I really don't have time to go this extra step. Maybe I'm a little OCD but, this works good for the diapers.

+Teresa BritoPadilla Rinsing the overnight diapers is perfectly safe, actually some companies suggest it for heavy wetters. I'm glad it works great for you! Stripping is the worst so anyway you can perfect your wash routine is awesome.

I love using soothe baby stay dry one size fitted overnight diapers with a PUL (prefer blueberry coveralls) or wool cover. The soothe baby fitteds are found on Etsy. You can add absorbency with extra snap in inserts. Love love love them!!

My 7 month old is a tummy sleeper too and pees through her disposable diaper almost every night so I just ordered a bunch of cloth diapering stuff..hope I didn't make a mistake!!! We're short on money so I'm praying the stuff I ordered works. I got a few bumgenius pocket diapers, thirsty hemp inserts, 5 layer bamboo inserts, and some cheap flour sack towels. We do a large Birdseye flat plus a large and small thirsties hemp insert preferably in a pocket but usually in a cover.

Thank you so much for this video. I'm about to plunge into CD and my 13 month old is a HUGE HEAVY WETTER and this has given me hopes for CDing her through the night as well. I see you're a mom of 2 under 2 or were , any tips on how to keep sanity ? Lol I'm due with baby #2 in 2 weeks ...they will be 13 months apart

That's awesome! Congratulations! Mine were 16 months apart. Just take it one day at a time and don't set too high of expectations for yourself. There will be a lot of days at the beginning where the house is a mess, you feel like a mess and your only accomplishment of the day is that you kept everyone alive, fed and changed and that's ok. That's a huge accomplishment itself! Don't be too hard on yourself. Also, don't underestimate your young toddler. Let them be as independent as possible (ie. encourage playing by themselves, eating by themselves, etc.). It will make your life a lot easier in the long run. And accept help as much as possible. Being a mom of 2 under 2 will show you that you can do what you thought before was impossible. It's crazy and so amazing.

Great video! But I'm wondering, what about very heavy wetters who can't tolerate feeling the moisture? My LO won't sleep if he can feel the wet and it's been that way since day one. :(

Neither of my kids cares at all about feeling wet, it's actually something we're struggling with now that my toddler's potty training. My best suggestion would be to use whatever solution you need to in terms to absorbancy and add a fleece liner on top. I've heard a lot of moms with kiddos with wetness sensitivities swear by them, plus they're pretty inexpensive to try out. At least hopefully he'll be easier to potty train because he won't want to be wet 😂

+Andrea Calderon I honestly just stretch and poke it in whatever way I can until all the absorbent material is inside and we have no gaps. It's definitely easier to do on older babies/toddlers who have the rise fully unsnapped.
