I think another (probably faster) way to get there is to drive (or take tour van/bus) from Surat Thani airport (URT), which is just one hour drive away. It's a better option especially if you don't plan to go to those Andaman beaches and islands (Krabi, Phuket). This airport is also pretty close to islands in the Gulf of Thailand e.g., Samui, Pha-Ngan (Full moon party), Koh Tao. You can fly from BKK to URT, take a day/1night trip at Khao Sok, then go back to the airport to continue your Samui area trip or even go to Krabi or Phuket from Khao Sok. In brief, if you want to include Khao Sok in your trip, fly to Surat Thani airport first, not Phuket or Krabi, it will save a lot of travel time.

Ugh one of my favorite places in Thailand! I took the same approach last year when I was there! It was so nice motor biking out there and not getting stuffed on a crowded tour boat! We didn’t stay on the lake though we stayed in the jungle part of khao Sok national park which is also definitely worth spending some time in even if it’s a little touristy (like any national park). There’s also a farm out there called Sonchana farm and the family has a rescued elephant you can visit. ❤️

We stayed near the jungle entrance as well. Nice little town there...It would have probably been more convenient to stay near the Ratchaprapha dam but the motorbike ride wasn't that bad. Could have easily spent 3-4 days on the lake admiring and exploring 😍

This is the most informative video about Khao Sok National Park till date. I am have been planning to go there for a very long time now and my plan is very coherent with yours. However, I would be glad if you could help me out with a few questions: 1. Is there a safe place at the pier to park my bike while I'm staying the park? 2. Are the kayaks available to you to take it out in the water whenever you feel like? 3. Is there any option to pay a price per person for the boat tour as we are only 2 persons to visit and since we're on a budget it would be very difficult to rent the entire boat for ourselves. Nevertheless, I just love your videos and I would be more than delighted to let you know that your video helped me and my friends to visit Indonesia. Just can't emphasize how much informative and cinematic your videos are. THANK YOU!

Drone laws are a touchy subject. They are constantly changing. As we’re not officials and probably not the best to give legal advice on drone piloting, our recommendation is to check online before your trip to see if there are any new laws or requirements for flying. I can tell you that we've never had an issue, anywhere we've been, with airport security trying to confiscate our drone. Hope this helps! Safe travels!

Thank you Apoorva! We never stayed in the floating bungalows, just wanted to show them to viewers who were interested. Hey guys! First off I love your videos, they were a major help in my trip to Indonesia, honestly. I'm now planning a trip to Thailand so I'm watching all your videos for tips and tricks :) I have a question regarding the price for the bungalows - halfway through the video you mention it's 3.600 baht for 1 night (2 people), but at the end of the video it says 1.344 for 2 nights...I went to their website to check it out but the prices listen are way higher than what you mentioned... Do you remember what was the correct price? And did you book prior or just went there and got the room? Thank you so much and happy travels!

Hey Sara! Thanks for the kind words and glad we could help! We never stayed at the floating bungalows, rather showed them to our viewers who would potentially be interested in staying there. The hotel we stayed in (priced at the end of the video) was about an hour away. *See links in the description. We pre-booked the hotel we stayed in and then took our motorbike to the pier for a day tour of the lake. With a lot of those floating bungalows you can book same day (as long as you're not in high season). Even in high season there should be plenty of options on the lake. Hope this helps and safe travels ✌🏼

Which are more beautiful el nido or khao sok national park? Thank you
@IntAffair
@IntAffair 5 жыл бұрын
Good question! They are totally different so it's hard to compare... El Nido had some of the best snorkeling/water quality we've come across. Khao Sok has beautiful limestone karsts, vegetation and a tranquility that you can't find in El Nido... Visit both if can 😃

Do you have to book the floating hotels beforehand or is booking on arrival doable?
@IntAffair
@IntAffair 2 жыл бұрын
If you can find them available to book online prior then I would do so. I would imagine things are a bit slower now due to Covid so not sure how booked up they are getting. You could always try to negotiate once there. Best of luck!

Great work! The video was very informative. Can you please make a video on how you guys plan your travel/itineraries? Do you guys make a travel sheet plan ? If so,I would love to see you guys create one. Also I’m planning to travel to Thailand for 3 weeks where about in Thailand would you recommend visiting? Thank you 🙏
@IntAffair
@IntAffair 4 жыл бұрын
Thank you Anne 🙏🏼🙏🏼We'll see if we can work on a video concept for that. We've done both ways (with itinerary and without). It's honestly about preference in terms of going with the flow or having everything mapped out. Everywhere in Thailand is worth visiting so our recommendations are to research what interests you the most and make your selections based on that. Either way, you can't go wrong 😍

that amount with that breathtaking beauty is STILL WAY MORE WORTH IT than having to pay 700CAD for a lake view room in FAIRMONT BANFF ALBERTA.

1:23 2:20 if i tell you, the entrance ticket for Thai citizen is 40 Thai baht only while foreigners have to pay 300thb... how do you feel? fair unfair? reasonable unreasonable? this kind of issues are all over Thailand. Thailand is a amazing country, but i don't know why still some racism like this. maybe foreigners could see more? enjoy more? be happier more than local? let's reveal this and help to make a better Thailand.

It’s because Thai wage is not high so if the price is too high for Thai people, the average Thai people can’t afford traveling. But all the national parks and ancient ruins in Thailand need money to hire staff, rengers, and money to take care of the places so if the price is too low, they don’t have enough money to maintain. Lucky that part of the taxes that Thai people pay will be used in national parks and ancient places to hire staff and to maintain. But foreigners didn’t pay taxes money to Thailand so they pay the full price.

your history lesson is missing a huge part of China that you guys don't seem to be interested in visiting( please don't make it political, the world is a wonderful place to be visited and enjoyed by everyone, so don't closed your mind because of the world of politics). Southwest China, Kunming, Yangshour are part of the same geological history but don't take my words for it, check out the YT videos.

@@exs1803 unfortunately, what I saw from these bloggers are closed mindset on China. they can't tell the difference between politics and people and think all of China is the same. the irony is travel is supposed to open minds and enjoy what the world has to offer regardless of politics. just real shame on these so call bloggers, so close-minded
