Just wanted to update you and let you know I pulled the trigger and built the Meshify 2 XL with an Artic Liquid Freezer II 420. I topped mounted the rad and it was indeed the perfect case with so much room. You are an absolute life saver. Great advice. More importantly if you also built this I would love your advice on which direction was best for the top mounted rad. I have the "tubes" facing towards the front. But with the board in the default ATX position that is quite the stretch. It works fine but part of me is thinking I should try and flip it to where the tubes are towards the back instead. Anyways, regardless of any feedback I wanted to let you know that this video was a God send. Thanks man.

I tried both and tubes towards the front worked better. When I flipped the tubes were to close to the CPU and bent too much.

For anyone who is building a PC that requires optimal cooling for components that run hot, I highly recommend this video. I am a little biased, because I chose to build my PC with the same case and Aio before I came across this video, but it confirmed that I made the right choices for my build.

I was contemplating a way to mount fans like that, because I felt that mounting fans on the bottom of the PC in the provided spots wouldn't provide proper airflow through the case. To me, it looked like the airflow provided by the fans on the bottom would be useless because of the limited clearance underneath, and the restricted flow through the psu shroud. You probably cover this in that video, but did the fans mounted there provide the airflow you were looking for?

@brusselshouts I haven't done a proper test but the fans seem to help quite a bit. Depending of the scenario it's like 5-10 degree lower temps. I actually may do a proper test and a video about this. This can be quite interesting topic.

The size of the Meshify 2 XL is pretty ridiculous lol. That's coming from someone who has one. I knew it was going to be big compared to my previous case, but you can't truly understand how big it is until you see it in person. It's been the spectacle of our house for the last few days. Anytime someone comes over, my roommate has to show them how big this case is lol. Stupid big

I replaced my 12y old case (good airflow, 3x 120mm fans+170mm Noctua inside the door) with the Fractal Torrent (grey, non RGB= 180€) cause I wanted the best air flow and a big case. My temps went down ~7-9 degress overall. Nice that u mentioned that its optimized for air cooling; people who combine it with an AIO do it cause they like the aesthetic design, but throw away a huge part of the air flow aspect (the top isnt even open). Amazing case and so big too. My b550 tomahawk looks like a mATX board inside it :) Haha ye, your other reasonable builds make ur personal build look so stupid. The cooler and PSU are so overkill too. But we can sleep better at night when we know we have something we dont need 😅 180€ is way above my case budget too but I just wanted the best for my personal needs. Looks like you are getting ready for the pcie 5.0 m.2 FPS boost in 10 years too 😉 Enjoy your premium build!

What do you think of Be Quiet shadow 800 base? I'm also looking for a case to use an Artic 420 to cool a 14900k, I was thinking about a custom water cooler, but I gave up on the idea.

A PC case is a matter of preference. I wasn’t considering this specific model but it does accept 420 AIOs on top so I guess it should be fine.

Does Meshify 2 come with any support bracket for GPU mounting in a normal(Non-vertical) position? or do you use any brackets? I see that Thermaltake Ceres 500 has a supporting bracket

Yes, I’ve done the build using the case and temps are good. Not sure what stats I can provide. It’s a nice big case that can fit the biggest and best AIO on the market and with plenty of airflow for the GPU.

@@TheArchitect101 I went with version II as III wasn’t on the market yet. It’s the same size as far as I know. It’s a 7800x3D + 7900XTX Sapphire Pulse.

It's great that you made this material, thank you really. Can you tell me what RAM you are using? I bought high-profile Corsair dominator titanium and I'm worried that they won't fit. Case is the last part of the puzzle and I was looking for a suitable cooling solution for a long time and now thanks to your video I found it, but now I'm not sure about the memory.

But if money is no object, would you go instead with Dark Base Pro 901? Does Meshify 2 XL feel a bit narrow or not at all?

The thing I dislike about my case is the very limited space for the power supply and the difficulty in connecting cables to it. This is a common problem with many cases. It doesn’t feel narrow. I wasn't aware of the Dark Base Pro 901. It looks great, but from what I can see, it can't fit a 420 AIO cooler on top; it can only accommodate it in the front. That was my priority. If I didn't need that, I would consider other cases, and the Dark Base Pro 901 does look fantastic.

I see you have 250mm for psu length in meshify 2 xl. Is it not enough length or something else?

@@Galaxutube plenty of length but you have access only from one side and it’s very hard to add more cables especially if you need to plug them on the other side of the case that doesn’t open. Not a big deal and many cases do this but I would prefer an easier access to the PSU. Like having removable PSU covers on both sides.

Yes. If it can fit the newest 420 one, then it can fit a smaller version.

Looks like a fantastic case. I was considering this case as well. Excellent airflow with 140mm fans. I also like easy access to power suply from both sides. It even accepts 420mm radatiors but only in front.

It looks like it does accept up to 3 420mm radiators at the same time. Perfect for watercooling but I don’t know how good is the airflow for the GPU.

The XL is really not necessary like AT ALL. Unless u do a super clean and completely full water cooled build, the inside of this case will always look baron and empty. Just get the regular meshify 2. Tf
