I dig it. I have the 450 and the 500. Nice thing is the lids are interchangeable so the shock cord can live on one lid that I use for both cans!

Holy crap I hadn’t even thought of that!

Yep, bought the new one with the slit in the plastic piece that mounts to the can, glad I watched this, now I know why that's there!.

“Nubbins” is exactly what I’ve called them. lol. I love it when someone comes out with these useful little gadgets. I ask myself, why not me?🤷♂️

This thing works great! So right about cold hands in the morning. Caffeanger is no way to start your day. I did end up attaching it to the can. I could easily misplace it.

I agree! And I did end up attaching mine as well!

Having thrown a small temper tantrum on the JMT because dirt and sand got into the threads made it super difficult to open, I may need to buy one of these!! lol! Thanks for the review!!

Thanks for watching! Yeah, nothing can set off a backpacker like getting between them and their food 🤣🤣

Cool gadget! Those particular bear cans (and the carbon fiber ones) are not allowed where I live bc the bears break them and get the food 😂 Oh well. I get to use the heavy ones 🙄
@Everydaybackpacker5 ай бұрын
Interesting, I have not heard of bear vaults being broken. I have heard of the carbon fiber ones having issues and that at least one bear had figured out how to open the bear vaults before BV beefed up their designs.

And of course just because I haven’t heard of it doesn’t mean it didn’t happen. I just need to do more research apparently
