After approximately 17+ Pokemon gameplay years, i finally did it, thank you soooo much for this video and thank you youtube for recommending this to me, so quick little story, i have never actually caught a shiny Pokémon in game ever, today was the first time i shiny hunted and i finally got myself a shiny Eevee, i am still a somewhat relaxed gamer so i normally wouldn’t take the time to spend hours on a game looking for one specific thing like Pokémon hunting, but this year i was determined, i brought both Scarlet and Violet and a secondary switch and managed to clear both games in a combined 90ish hours, and then began completing the Pokédex on my Scarlet version, finally i got my first ever shiny charm (IT MAKES A DIFFERENCE) in about 1 hour i had gotten my first ever shiny Pokémon (Not Traded) EEVEE. however along the way i came into a few questions which i am hoping the fellow Shiny Hunters can shed some light on, firstly how do you stop an outbreak from ending? this happened not long after my sandwich timer ran out to secondly do you have to make more sandwiches as you progress in the hunt? and lastly are there any tips such as which sandwiches to make (i have seen that some people don’t love the Herba Sandwiches because they don’t really do much but on the other hand people are getting 10+ Shinies from them) so are the Herba Mystica Sandwiches worth making? but once again Thank you Sauce, am so glad i clicked on this video and subscribed, i cant believe my first shiny in game was an Eevee and i a so thankful for all the tips and recipes you provided, so thanks again

So update, today I tried again but this time with a sylveon outbreak, it was hard at first to find the outbreak and I skipped time for about 15 mins just to finally find one and then I didn’t make a sparkling sandwich, I GOT 4 SHINIES, not saying that the sparkling sandwich doesn’t work but I wanted to try not making a shiny sandwich and instead just made a fairy encounter sandwich, it took me about 3 hours but I managed to get 4 shinies (2 with in seconds from each other) Edit - Tips: Only auto battle 60-65 Pokémon Make a second fairy encounter sandwich after about 30 mins of the first one finishing Walk around to see if you can see any and if you do try to throw your Pokémon at them from behind because so you will catch them off guard (it should give you 1-2 turns to put them to sleep and catch them) Save before you battle and always throw a quick ball in the first round(I got 3 of them by throwing a quick ball first round)

I'm on my 3rd attempt in about a week each time doing 200+ resets. Still yet ro have eevee outbreak. Seen like 30+ ditto outbreaks, 20+chansey outbreaks, 20+ Persian outbreaks. Its bloody rough.

Thank you for this! It took me a few resets (like 10?) to get an outbreak and it took even less time to find a shiny! I didn't even have to put on a sparkling sandwich! That said, I do want to get all the eeveelutions shiny so I need to find 6 more. For anyone else hunting for the eeveelutions but not necessarily the Eevees, if you're not having luck, I've seen a few of the eeveelutions have outbreaks themselves. That's how I found my shiny Vaporeon.

I can confirm this. I know you can isolate Jolteon somewhere between Medali and Casseroya and Espeon just off of the snowy area. Got my Vaporeon by one of the Watchtowers and Umbreon in Alfornada Cavern after a few shiny Sableye phases.

You can shiny hunt an espeon near the snowy mountain. Fly to glaseado’s grasp, head to the nutsack, and then pop down between them to a big tree. Then make your fairy sandwich and boom, all the espeons.

If you can’t find the Eevee spawn with a LVL 2 encounter, try a Lvl 3 instead. I spent 1 1/2 hours with the lvl 2 with no luck, took me 10 minutes with the Lvl 3!

Why would you need to reset the spawns? They respawn very quick as you clear them

The outbreaks have only a certain amount of Pokémon that spawn in them. Everyone you knock out takes away from that count, and you will eventually have non remaining

Instead of making the sandwich first, you can maximize your shiny time if you kill 60 eevees first, then save, then make your shiny sandwich.

I've had the exact same issue funnily enough, even with 60 KOs in outbreak and using the picnic respawn method so the outbreak doesn't end, stacked with a sandwich. I know encounter power is basically useless in outbreaks but it makes me wonder if some of the other effects (shiny, title, etc.) even kick in for outbreak spawns

You can't reset your game while on a sandwich boost. That's why you save before making one. Also, I really wouldn't recommend using herbas for outbreaks. The odds with just the shiny charm are already 1 in 683 for 60+ KO's. Sandwich makes it 1 in 512. I hunt my outbreaks without sandwich and it works pretty well

As someone who just reset over 450 times I can say don't do this. Just do masuda and save yourself the pain. (I didn't get the Eevee one I just settled on a Vaporeon)

@@livius0 Yes sandwiches are when there's already an outbreak. The point of this is there isn't an isolated spawn of eevee so the outbreak is only place to consistently hunt it when you need to reset 503 times to get it.

The outbreak was super close to the town so I'm not sure if it was working properly (3-6 eevees per refresh) I spent a further 3-4 hours eating sandwiches, getting my 60 eevee kills and then just running in and out of town to reset spawn. Still no shiny :( I think I have had some bad rng

The only issue with this method is it messes up the data that tells you when the pokemon was, caught/ hatched ect. Heck if you're not careful you can have a pokemon hatch from an egg, with two entirely different dates on it. Which in some occasions make the pokemon see hacked, because for instance you could have the data tell you received the pokemon egg on a future date, than the actual day you caught it, and have the date of it being hatched be the actual date if you reset your date back after receiving the egg, causing the date that you received the egg to be in the future while the egg was hatched In the past
