Best place to Catfish at a dam (Lock Side) Over looked area

The best place to catfish at a dam can very depending on weather, season, or water conditions. But today we look at the lock approach for barge traffic to catch some fish coming out of the main current to feed in slack water created by the lock, but barge traffic can ruin a good night of fishing but some times you get a window of opportunity to fish with no boat traffic.

Them smaller cats were channels ... blues dont have that yellow color .. baby blues are more light bue and white-ish but awesome vid and some great action

I really like them, but they have a break In period maybe 2 or 3 trips, you will hear them crack and pop a few times when they are new but nothing to worry about, these have been my favorites out of all the brands, mad mats being a close second

Ky side of the dam there is a pull off and a trail the side of the creek I’m on is. It allowed any more must fish down stream of the creek mouth due to barge approach

@@2005fordmustanggt meldahl is going to be about 45 minutes closer to you, and yes lock side at meldahl can be a good place to fish, and in the winter it can be good for sauger and small mouth bass fishing minnows on the bottom
