She mentions that she kept all of her US bank accounts and had her job pay her that way - through the US banking system. Do tog have to have a home base or residence in the US in order to do that?

We’re of the older crowd. We’re locating in the Boca Arenal area. We’re really looking forward to enjoying the Sodas and smaller local restaurants. Also I cannot believe how many spots there are to visit. Our biggest hurdle so far is Banking. The branch we chose has a manager that hates expats I believe. I think this is the rear exception. The big city is really not in our expectations, and not having everything in our reach. We’re building a house and the same issues exist in CR. As the US. Supply chain is an issue. We’re working 3 months in advance for materials to assure we’re not being held up. Pura Vida.

Hi Adam, We really long for that low stress, close-to-nature, family-friendly vibe that Anastasia described there near the beach in Guanacasta. Are there any similar family-friendly, low-key places that are closer to the Monteverde cloud forest, or is that only available closer to the beach? My thing is to be surrounded by green in or near the forest. Also, my wife is Nicaraguan and we have family in Granada, Nicaragua. Are prices higher closer to the forest? We would like to buy at least a couple acres with a couple of homes, one to rent out and one to have as a family getaway. We're in San Diego, and lived in California almost all our lives. Thank you.

Hello, my husband and I are from Canada, sold everything we owned and have travelled over the border to Florida USA and rented a place for 3 months then we planned on packing up our Jeep and camper trailer to head to Costa Rica. We really want to move permanently and have watched many interviews with people who have relocated but very unsure of the best place for us. After watching your video on Guanacaste and listening to you regarding the area, it sounds like a place we would love. We are both seniors age 69 and 68, both love the warmer weather, want to be close to beaches for sure and in a safe, secure area. Could you please tell us any areas you would recommend living in Costa Rica other than where you are which is a great option. We are thinking of flying down while we are in Florida to check out some areas. We have two small dogs 5 pounds and ten pounds an hoping to bring on plane with us not in cargo. Will we have a problem at airport, they have all of their shots and recent examinations. Thank you for your help and advice with this. We really hope to make Costa Rica our home.

Hi Adam, whats your thought about going to Costa Rica from late Aug-Nov? I think that is the most rainiest season? Does Costa Rica have “microclimates”? Any suggestions about where the best places to stay are from Aug-Nov?
@CostaRicanVacations
@CostaRicanVacations 3 жыл бұрын
Hey Lys, thanks for getting in touch with us! For sure it is the rainy season but that doesn't mean rain all the time. Different parts of the country see different amounts. If you were to travel to the Caribbean side it tends to be dryer at that time of year. Most of the country is much greener and you'll see more wildlife for it. Most mornings still tend to be sunny and its always hot. Plus the northern Gauancaste area will always still have more sunlight even int he 'green season'. Perhaps this video will help you out a little more! kzbin.info/www/bejne/l4LXY2ygl7CJpJY Thanks and let me know! Adam @TheCRVTeam

The biggest problem about moving to Costa Rica is paying for the Private Schools. We don't speak spanish and Private Schools are like $6000 usd per year, and I have 2 kids. I just don't think I can afford it, so might have to wait until they are older.

Hi Adam: Thanks for all the info. On a particular note, I.am traveling next month June 2022 plan to stay for the full 90 days but I am seriously thinking about retiree residency with a wife and two minors. I kind of liked Liberia but I found it a little expensive and hot. Basically wanted to ask you if there is somewhere similar that isnsafe and not so hot ? By the way just renting not buying and Spanish is not a problem

Hey Omar, For sure, you should look aroudn the Central Valley in the subirds and mountains arond San Jose and on the way to the coast along the 27 highway. It's a lot fresher higher up and there are some lovely areas to look and safe for sure!

What area are you living in? is the Pacific or Caribbean side considered to have the best weather and which side do you recommend. We are planning on arriving there in the next few months from Canada, both retired and hoping to make this home, we love the warmer weather but also the green forest areas. Thank for your valuable information.

Hey Barbara, Thanks for getting in touch! Anastasia is now based by the beach on the northern pacific coast. We would certainly recommend the slightly more developed Pacific side and if you want year round green forest areas the central south pacific should be the areas you focus on. Do bare in mind it rains a fair but in the afternoons during the green season from August to November, but this keeps it green! We hope this helps!
