The mountain clip from the fist minute looks fantastic! May I ask where it is?
@KittiandJon10 ай бұрын
If it’s the clip I think you’re talking about then we’re in Itza Popo National Park outside of Mexico City. The mountain is Iztaccíhuatl and it’s Mexico’s third highest peak (5,230m) 😊 our trip there is in our ‘Best Hiking Around Mexico City’ video 👍

Hi in what period of the year have you been traveling to costa rica? Is july a good time? I’ve heard mixed reviews (since it’s rainy seasons) thanks for your time!
@KittiandJonАй бұрын
We were in Costa Rica in February. I think July would be okay but expect heavy rains in the afternoons and maybe some things to be closed from flooding. Winter is definitely a better time to visit 👍

Manuel Antonio or La Fortuna for Sloths, Hanging bridges and volcano hikes? I would like to do 5 days with nights back home at the resort or vibrant town.
@KittiandJon Жыл бұрын
If you want all of those then you want La Fortuna for sure. You can find hanging bridges and sloths at Manuel Antonio but no volcanoes and the sloths aren't as easy to spot there. So we'd probably recommend La Fortuna for you 😊

Thanks for sharing your journey with us all. I am heading to Costa Rica in 3 weeks time and you're right the tours are super expensive. AND that's even if they allow for solo travellers to sign up to it, as most want a couple booking. Your video has been very insightful. However, I was with you both, feeling INSPIRED to do the hiking and public transportation route, UNTIL you then advised to hire a car hahahahaha. Keep the videos coming. Thoroughly enjoyed that!
@KittiandJon Жыл бұрын
Haha 😂 yeah we can’t argue that having your own transportation would have been a lot easier! But it was still fun and definitely authentic to take public transportation everywhere…the challenge adds to the experience we always think 🤔 but yeah in hindsight if we were to go back and had the budget we’d probably go the hire car route. Enjoy your time in CR 🇨🇷

How long would you recommend staying in Manuel Antonio?
@KittiandJon7 ай бұрын
We’d say the bare minimum you’d need is about 2 days (1 for the national park and one to go to the waterfalls) but would definitely recommend staying longer if you enjoy beaches and being by the sea 😊 we spent 1 week there 👍

i love costa rica so much but i stayed in a hostel here that had a screen for a wall, which wouldn't have bothered me but it had a giant hole in it. so when i woke up the next mornin, i had like 60+ mosquito bites on my ankles. i traveled all over costa rica and imo the bugs in manuel antonio were the worst 😭
@KittiandJon3 ай бұрын
Sorry to hear about your bad bug experience in Manuel Antonio! We do remember the bugs being bad there! Other than that it is a gorgeous place 😍

Great content. You have to go back to Costa Roca and do more cities please. :). How do you pay on local buses? Cash? Card?
@KittiandJon7 ай бұрын
Thanks! There is still plenty more for us to see there for sure 😊 2 years ago we paid cash for the buses but you may be able to pay card now too. Always best to have cash though 👍

I was in quepos and manuel Antonio Beach a couple of weeks ago. Beautiful beach but the vendors are everywhere and they are persistent in trying to sell you crap you don't need. Plus it was $20 to use a couple of beach lounge chairs with umbrella and about $10 to park your car.

The whole of Costa Rica is so beautiful...but yeah it definitely comes at a cost. It is a very expensive country!!

Did you see with naked eyes or through camera lens plus powerful zoom? Are the animals just a few steps away?
@KittiandJon Жыл бұрын
In Manuel Antonio National Park the animals are really only a few steps away...the monkeys come right up to you and the iguanas are everywhere around the beaches. The birds are the only ones you might need a good camera lens to photograph. :)

Is there a place you’d recommend to stay in Manuel Antonio?
@KittiandJon Жыл бұрын
We stayed in Quepos which is a little bit cheaper than Manuel Antonio and easy to get to by bus. Most of the main hotels are along the road between Quepos and Manuel Antonio. Wherever you stay you'll have easy access to the reserve and the beaches though 👍

Yes for sure! If you want to guarantee to spot animals then you will do that with a guide. But we’re pretty sure you will see animals without a guide too. We saw birds, monkeys and lots of iguanas without a guide 👍
