I guess I’m in the minority, but I actually don’t think Nick handled the duck situation that horribly. It felt like the whole thing was just being blown out of proportion. I don’t think he needed to get up immediately and not ride the duck because that woman made the jealous joke which I took as a joke. If Hannah felt a way about it, yes he could apologize for not being sensitive to that, but this idea that he acted abhorrently in that situation doesn’t make sense to me. I felt like Hannah was trying to control him and his actions and when he didn’t comply, she got an attitude.

Nick could've handled that duck situation or whatever you call it better, but based off everything we know about Nick (which is based off him talking to Hannah and other people telling Hannah that he is a smooth talker and just has a highly extroverted personality), you should also know that that is what you're walking into. He is clearly a naturally very extroverted person and it's part of who he is. Trustworthy or not, Hannah should either learn to trust him and confront her own insecurities that she's already putting into the relationship or break things off and work on those things on her own and find someone more her speed. But Nick could also dial it back a bit regarding other women, even if they are older and it's obviously friendly. But it read as more as Hannah is so insecure that she doesn't wanna participate and then gets angry when he just has fun and embarrasses himself a bit even if he was a bit stupid but it was so clear he wanted her to be part of the moment and was disappointed she wasnt

I don't know I thought Nick handled the duck situation pretty well and I was really put off by the way Hannah handled it. He said he wanted to have fun and ride the ducks and she immediately told him she wouldn't join. Then he goes and does it, and another tourist wants to have fun and join him. She was obviously a bit older and purely joking, but Hannah was being really rude and snapping at Nick to get him to come back and then blew it out of proportion. She said she wasn't bothered by him playing with the ducks, but then made a really big deal about it. I don't know to me it was apparent that the lady was joking ... Hannah just seems to be a mood killer.

Since I heard you comment on this several times now, I just want to say that I was raised by a catholic mother and an atheist father and that was never an issue. Not sold on Alex and Tim AT ALL. She is basically his therapist and proxy sister or something. It would be very exhausting to have that come up in every conversation. It's one thing to support and be there and give a safe space, but it's another to feel like you're your man's therapist. And he's annoying her, she's telling him, and he's just not listening. Like at all. I wonder if he's really in it for her, the person with the complex emotions, life experiences, etc. or if he just wants her to shut up and listen and only respond if it's to serve him and his emotions.
