Best Post-Race Show Ever | 2021 Thunder Valley National

The best post-race show ever is back following round two of the Lucas Oil AMA Pro Motocross Championship! Host Jason Weigandt is joined again by the new show host Twisted Tea/HEP Motorsports Suzuki’s Max Anstie to take about the track and racing at elevation following the Thunder Valley National.
Weigandt and Anstie talk about the action from the 450 Class, including the early championship battle between Dylan Ferrandis and Ken Roczen, Adam Cianciarulo and Chase Sexton, a weekend off, moving forward in the results column, and more. Anstie also explains a bike giveaway that Mayhem Wheels is having. As someone who has complained about them ripping too deep before, I loved the prep and racing this race. It seemed like an awesome track on tv. Maybe I’m in the minority but I love seeing these guys rip fast tracks and not get locked into super deep ruts.

Weege!!! I am just about to go to bed here in Japan, 23:33... and you finally post this! Gotta Love it!!! Like damn!! Did he really clean up the tear offs.. I have wondered for years about that. Great that he did, and yes MAX, we need to help clean up. Young people have it dialed in. CLEAN up your local Moto track/race/event. Antsie is doing VERY well... 12 previous champs on the track (approximately)... and he gets 13th... so open, so talkative, onwards and upwards mate!!! If Twisted Tea was for sale here in Japan, I'd buy a slab/carton/24 pack full each week to help 'Support The Sport We Love'

Mathes is classic! He’s been like that for years! He speaks his opinion. I met him at Hangtown years ago. He came up to our bbq and interviewed my cousin Buck Ford for the magazine! They sat at the table in our trailer in the pits. Him and Davey Coombs and Weege ate tacos with us. Hell we fed 1/2 the riders at our campsite. Was so much fun talking shop with them.

This was a FANTASTIC episode. Max & Jolek deserve some "air time". And they both did a great job. In fact this "best post-race" show should feature at least one deserving mid-pack racer each episode. And for what it's worth, Mattis was not annoying, and I actually enjoyed his contribution today.

First time I’ve really paid attention to a Max Anstie interview/discussion and I must say...I really like his personality and honesty. At least the old thought that all European racers in the AMA including years past...are not snooty, dry or lack a sense of humor. Anstie honestly seems like he could be your neighbor that just talk kinda funny but would be a phenomenal financial consultant? Lol. Kinda like the ol’ chap!
