I used to do a ton of craft shows, book store signings, and school public speaking events when I was a newly self-published author a decade ago, and I definitely did my best sales when I had a wingman go around and encourage people to check out my booth. I also love the idea of having other offerings (a raffle, cookies, merch, etc) to round out the table. Hoping to get back into some shows this fall after I publish the final book in my series!

Self-pub. 1st book through Amazon KDP soon. Hoping to participate in a romance author group booth at a fall festival in October. For sure, I am an unknown author. How many copies of my romance novel should I bring to the fall festival? I'm a little worried I may not sell any books. Who knows. On the other hand, maybe. What's a realistic number to bring? This is a big annual festival.

Hmm I would ask the festival organizers what they recommend, they should have some info from past participants on how many units moved.

That's such a hard question. I have my first "book event/official signing" is next month, and I'm flying there. I'm losing sleep over how many to bring. You just never know how it is going to go. I think I'm going to bring about 30.
