Hi Neo. My understanding is you’ll pay import tax on pre owned watches too. Hence why there’s a petition to government by the watch industry to lower it to 5%

@@edinburghwatchcompany247 Wow ok, basically the same as if you buy from the USA. Not really worth it after all the tax is paid. Sure makes chrono24 purchases from EU less attractive where we are paying 20% more than a EU resident for exactly the same pre-owned watch.

@@richardbartlett6932 the difference only matters with pre-owned. For new with a dealer , you buy VAT free and the tax is added at customs on entry to uk. Dealers will not sell you the watch vat free in person at the dealers in the EU, but will only send it to a uk address.

The Rolex for the educated Rolex enthusiast. Its very $$$ for a reason. It’s on a completely higher and different level than the common/pedestrian models like the GMT, Sub, DJ,etc... Rolex keeps the YMII at a very low production number for the reasons above.
