I believe the relaxed community is growing as far as being on KZbin goes. But I personally believe their are WAY MORE Black women who relax their hair, verses those who are natural. At least out of all the women I know

Why am I watching this? I have only seen a black woman in person two times in my life. These hair videos are whole new world for me, so interesting! I thought that all straight hair on black women are wigs or naturally straight (yes, to me it was possible) but wow - today I learned about the relaxer! Thank you! I have had a bad experience using the ORS relaxer a few months ago. That was what made me shave my hair and go natural again. I am strongly considering going back to relaxers again because no matter what I put on my low porosity hair, it is dry, and I do not have any money to waste to buy a lot of different products to see what works or not. Thanks for the recommendations. And please keep us posted about the UNLAY oil.

Hello!! Yes I have tried the ORIBE gold dust restorative condition after my hair was damaged after a perming experience. I found that it worked VERY well!! I did have to cut off the damaged hair but when using it I found my hair was stronger and stopped breaking. I used it for some time but once I felt my hair was in better condition I went to drug store and found good success with the Shea moisture line. The ORIBE was around $60 😬 a bottle. What do you think about lye relaxers? I see you use no lye. 💕
@IannaYvonne5 ай бұрын
Hello. If I’m going to a professional stylist, who is familiar with relaxer application, I would prefer to use lye relaxers. Lye relaxers are harsh on the scalp, but gentler on the hair. However, for the person who is not a professional, and unfamiliar with the relaxer application, I recommend no lye. Reduced chance of chemical burns. True, the hair may be dryer, but it’s easier to correct/ treat dryness than scalp burns and inflammation.

I love your videos! Thanks for sharing. I'd like to receive a suggestion from you as your hair is gorgeous and I've seen you have a lot of experience in terms of maintaining the health of the hair. I've been wearing my natural 3b/3c curls for more than 4 years now. I decided that I want to relax my hair, but I don't know which is the best product/ application method for me. My hair is thin and I would like to relax it, but at the same time maintain it thick and strong just like you. Do you have any suggestions or videos showing how you apply the relaxer and how you style your hair? I want to go to a beauty salon, but I am afraid they do it the wrong way. In my country I see that the majority of women who have relaxed hair, have a lot of hair damage ( very thin and short or medium lenght hair with a lot of breakage ). Greeting for the Dominican Republic!

Howdy! Try ORS, but regular box. Also keep your hair moisturized on a regular basis (Jamaican Black Castro Oil, Olive Oil, Alma Oil, Almond Oil, and Peppermint Oil). Take care of your ends by monthly trims or dusting. Don't relax too often, three to four months is best. Place grease around your edges, and ears before starting the relaxer. Put the relaxer on the new growth of your hair, but once applied to your entire head, dont leave on more than 10 minutes. Follow directions on box, and dont let every hair stylist put a chemical in your hair. You'll be fine, and enjoy being relaxed.😇😇😇😇😇

Im older women would these products work for my hair
@IannaYvonne3 жыл бұрын
Hello. Yes … absolutely! All these products also work well on fine hair and don’t weigh down the hair. Also the protein in the hair mask is very mild and won’t overload your hair. Thank you for watching ❤️

I didn't catch the name of the Shea moisture cream leave in. Can you start holding the products up to the camera? And you didn't say the name of the SM liquid leave in at 6:15. You just read what it says it does.

Hello. I’m definitely going to start holding the products up and listing them in the description. I will edit this video to include the mentioned products. A few people have suggested that lol The Shea moisture leave in was the black castor oil strengthen and restore leave in conditioner. The liquid was the virgin coconut oil leave in with coconut milk and acacia Senegal. The hair oil is from the same line (Jamaican black castor oil strengthen and restore). The oil work well with processed hair but it’s a second choice for me. I use an hair oil called unlay. I’m going to do a full product review once it’s available on the website. It’s coming soon 💕

Your hair is very beautiful , have you ever used lye relaxer?
@IannaYvonne2 жыл бұрын
Hello. Thank you for watching 💕 No , I’ve only ever used no lye relaxers. I have a sensitive scalp and no lye relaxers are milder and recommended for individuals prone to burns. They do cause the hair to sometimes be a bit dry but using the proper moisturizer deals with that easily enough.

Can you please tell me what’s good for just breakage my hair is breaking a lot and I don’t know what to do really would appreciate it
@IannaYvonne3 жыл бұрын
Hello. Thanks for watching ❤️ when I notice my hair breaking I use the living proof restore and repair leave in. You’ll start to notice a decrease in breakage pretty quickly. olaplex no 3 is also good… but work slowly. you should definitely invest in it …. but for long term use to help maintain hair health. Also the black castor oil strengthening masque I mentioned in this video is a good protein treatment for weak brittle hair. Its mild so it won’t overload your hair … which could actually make the breakage worse. Also try limiting heat in your hair for a while … and consider a protective style to give your hair a rest from manipulation.

@@IannaYvonne I’m a 1-year natural since the last time I posted on your video. I let it grow out a bit before and it is dry no matter what I put on it. I’m getting older, hormones are shifting and honestly don’t have that kind of patience anymore. I’ve learned that natural hair just isn’t for me. So, based on your recommendations, I will finally be getting the Optimum Defy Breakage soon. I just ordered the Olaplex No. 3 to pair with it and will probably go back to using that same Shea Moisture mask because that did pretty good. No more repeats of the breakage from the ORS box perm! Thank you sister!🌸

Your hair is so beautiful. How often do you relax?

Thank you 💕. I stretch my relaxers. Every 4 months is the absolute earliest but it’s usually closer to 5 months.
