I used to do this religiously a few years back. Paid off with a World Putting Championship where I made the last 7 in a row. I use 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, and 36 feet. Just getting to station 8 is huge!

I work in a warehouse loading and unloading trucks, some days we have a lot of downtime between shipments. I also work with the person that I play the most with. We have a basket and a stack of 20 putters at work, we each grab 10 and find a spot in the warehouse to putt from. I plan on making some lines on the floor with tape and giving this drill a try. The one thing I'm still pretty bad at, and maybe you can give some tips in a future video, is putting in the wind. I'm an 875 rated player but closer to 815 if it's windy and 90% of my problem in the wind is putting, I just can't figure it out lol.
@ConnorOReillyDG15 күн бұрын
Sounds like a great way to sprinkle in putting throughout the day! How’s your putting angle? Try working on a flatter nose and wing angle in the wind to avoid offering too much of the disc flight plate to the wind
@billbittick15 күн бұрын
@@AndrewBeezy91 I struggled in wind putting because of nose angle. I learned I was putting nose down too much. Once I corrected that I started in wind much better. You also want make sure you are spinning the disc enough. Push putters struggle in wind a bit more than spin putters due to lower revolutions on the disc.

@@ConnorOReillyDG I do have a bit of anny in my putts, I'll work on leveling it out, thanks!

I do a similar ladder drill and keep track of all my stats with DGPutt! Ended 2024 with 100k practice putts and aiming for 125k in 2025. Will definitely incorporate this drill! Great video.

Early in 2024, I was doing the normal marking the lie with my marker prior to a putt in a league or tournament round - but not doing so in casual rounds. I made more putts in casual rounds. So I connected the added pressure of the putt to the putting down of the marker, and I stopped doing that in league and tournament rounds. Overall, my putting percentage increased over the second half of the year. Congrats on joining Team Cardinal!

I haven't done it. I'm gonna do it. What chalk bag are you using? Thanks

This was just a climbing chalk bag, today I’m gonna get my hands on some loot bags to try out!

I have tried it. Don’t do every day as I don’t have a basket at home and cannot get to the course every day to practice. I do set up a single chain off the washing line when I really want to/ need more practice

That’s dedication and I love it! Definitely try this drill out sometime for a quick effective practice drill!

I bought a 40 foot rope with a carabiner and marked it at 15, 20, 25, 30 and 35. Hook it to the basket and stretch it out and your all set with no measuring.

I love this idea!! Might have to steal it from you!
@jaimeperry732610 күн бұрын
@@ConnorOReillyDG It's freely given ... I stole it from someone. Having the rope really helps me to visualize the line to the basket. In my rounds, I imagine the rope is on the ground, which works for me ... except when it doesn't ha ha. Putting ... sigh

Will or do you expect to extend this drill out to 20m as there has been discussions indicating that the pro tour will extend the circle to 20m , not allowing step puts.
@ConnorOReillyDG15 күн бұрын
At that point I still wouldn’t spend too much time practicing those really long putts. Having the reps to make 85-90%+ inside 12 meters I feel gives you the confidence to play free and make more from those 15-30meter range putts since you are not afraid of the comeback!

I’m 90% sure you were hole 1 at circle c. Surprised you didn’t have people playing through. Local courses I’d rank ahead of CC would be Roy G, Benbrook, Scramble Valley, OsP, Met and probably Wilco.

It is. Wasn’t too busy over break actually
@ConnorOReillyDG15 күн бұрын
There was surprisingly only one group that played through right as I got setup and then I got about 12-13 uninterrupted minutes somehow lol! CC for me beats Wilco though id love to see the par 3s be longer at CC. The 4s and 5s are just so high quality at CC!!
