They are mostly known for darker, hard hitting concepts and were criticized about their "noisy" tracks - check out Trespass (their debut song) for example...but they excel at ANY style they try! I mean some of their B-sides are hearbreakingly beautiful!! If I could recommend some MVs for your next reaction - Gambler (their last comeback) Love Killa Shootout Alligator All the members of Monsta X (even the rappers) can sing! Their rapline is fire - definitely check out the concert performance of Sambakja by Jooheon and I.M - it is mind-blowing!! Also, Jooheon used to be an underground rapper before he became an idol so.... They can ALL dance really well - their choreos are technically difficult, but synchronised and even though they each have an individual style, they work together really well! You could check out some of their dance practice videos to see what I mean. Also note, they compose and self-produce their music... They have released an all-English album All About Luv in 2019 (their 2nd English album will be coming out in December!!!). The songs are quite different from their usual style, but still so amazing. Hug me (covered by Kihyun) Jooheon (Joohoney) has released awesome mixtapes. Some MVs you can watch are - Psyche Smokey Be My Friend (with I.M) Red Carpet Rhythm Should I Do I.M has a mini album Duality with the title track God Damn. It's mv is trippy and totally matches his style - it showcases his voice and unique personality.. Some of their members have sung the OSTs for different Kdramas - Again Spring and O.M.O.M. by Kihyun Have a Good Night by Shownu and Minhyuk I'll Be There by Shownu Wonho, who was also a part of MX, unfortunately had to leave the group. But he is now a solo artist and is discovering 'his' voice. His latest comeback was the album Blue Letter with the title track Blue - another mv you must check out! Other than that, Lose, Ain't About You, Open Mind and Losing You by Wonho are must-watches!! I was looking for your reaction in YT when I saw " Best rap line in Kpop " and of course they are. Monsta X in a very complete group whose write, compose and produce their own music, multitalente men. All that I want to say is in the comments below. You can't miss the opportunity to watch more of them. Talent. Their rap line is INSANE and as a suggestion to you Sambakja triple Rhythm english lyrics is just an an example to what that boys can do. Their vocals are amazing especially Kihyun ( main vocal) covers of Imaging Dragon like Beliver and Natural blow your mind. B sides are always a heartbreaking songs and much of the has wrroten by the main Rapper ( by the way both rappers are incredible vocals too) Versace on the floor cover by Bruno Mars is a sample of it. Their choreographies always have an aggressive and powerful concept and of course Shownu the main dancer are in them. Some think that MONSTA X only do agressive hard songs but actually their Albums are so good we just find every genre there ballad, R&B, hip hop.. Etc their discography is so rich with all type of music genre and the fact that their vocals change according to what song it's like finding a new side of them every time... Plus the fact that they made 2 full English language Albums and slayed them despite the fact they're not fluent in english but you could never guess if you're not a fan it's coming from a kpop group

Hi. Thanks for reacting to the one kpop group I stan. Personally I think that they are the best kpop group and if my opinion can be very subjective what I can assure you without a doubt is that nobody makes music with a sound in their style. Their rhythms are generally powerful, heavy and nothing to do with the typical kpop we all know. For people like me who left adolescence a long time ago it is good to see a group of men, with a "dirty" sound, different, and not the colorful and cute kpop concept in general. Anyone recognizes their music because it sounds strong, even the clothes they wear are darker, sexy and they look so manly compared to others (another reason why I follow them in this way I do not feel like I'm stanning teens). Something about rappers ... generally, all kpop groups have one or more rappers and each one tries to show off, but in this group it's common for rappers to work together, always combining their parts to achieve something special and that makes them unique among others, and its really appealing as their voices are so different. That's why when people talk about Monsta x, do not talk about this rapper or the other, but about one of the best "Rap Line" of the kpop....for me the best. I will tell u data hoping you can know more about them and their voices in future videos. The order of the description of the members that I will give you is organized in terms of ages from oldest to youngest. Shownu (in military now): Leader, the eldest of the group, main dancer, lead vocalist, members call him appa (dad). Really simple, humble and down to heart guy. Shy. Love to eat. He has a great presence but never presents himself as the leader, he's calm and lovable and never talks more than necessary. The boys have great respect and love for him. Voted by other famous kpop idols as the man with the sexiest body. Heigth: 183 cm. 06:13 Minhyuk: Vocalist, dancer, MC. The humorist of the group, the one who is always up to something and talks a lot. Really loud guy. He has a cute uneven blink. Heigth: 179 cm. 08:08 Kihyun: Main vocalist, dancer, he is the "mother" of the group. He radiates self-esteem. Nags a lot. He loves to cook and keep spaces organized. Heigth: 175 cm. 08:47 Hyungwon: Vocalist, lead dancer, former model, visual designated by Starship (who in Monsta is not?), Dj known as "H.One". Love to sleep. He is next to Shownu one of the most quiet and relaxed. Meme King. Heigth: 185 cm. 06:37​ Joohoney: Main rapper, vocalist, dancer, composer, producer, lyricist. (this song is part of a whole album in english they released in february 14th 2020)..AMAZING..and ... -More intense songs like Fantasia, Shoot Out, Love Killa, etc. I am more a fan of these last ones and I think that the majority that follows Monsta loves that of them....Ah! and several songs have two versions in different languages or even three like Shoot out. thank you, sir, for reacting to THE BEST male group in kpop since 2015. seriously, they have the best rap-line. even people who don't listen to monsta x agree that i.m and joohoney are in a different league than other korean rappers. the thing is they play off of each other instead of trying to one up another, a huge reason we all consider them the best. monsta x is like a family, always trying to improve each other, they're brothers, not coworkers. they came together by competing on a show called "no.mercy" before they debuted in which there were like 12 competitors (i can't remember the exact number), isn't it crazy to think that i.m almost wasn't part of monsta x? i seriously cannot imagine anyone matching joohoney's rapping like him. they are like two peas in a pod. i.m was added halfway through the competition and another crazy fact is the rest of monsta x didn't like him at the beginning of their careeers. we watched them grow and become family. i sincerely hope you continue reacting to monsta x. like i said, they've been around for six years, so you have a LOT of content to watch! ♥ another thing to add is their korean music is very different compared to their english music, and their japanese music is different compared to both their english and korean music. much more experimental. genuinely enjoyed your reaction, subscribing for more. :) ♥

Found your reaction on twitter 🤣 and I'm always happy to see people discovering Monsta X, and I loved your comments ❤️ To give a insight about the former member after he got cleared of the accusations he started his solo career, it was sad to see him go but south Korea have strong laws about even rumors of marijuana even if he didn't use it (and even if it was long before he even debuted). Rush Hour was produced by Jooheon and his crew side by side with I.M both of them produces songs for their albums and write their own rap since debut ❤️ I'm really proud of our rapline (both have solo work too). Idk if you are taking requests, but I want to recommend some songs, you can also listen (without the pressure to react to it), Gambler, their last cb before rush hour, also produced by Jooheon, its an amazing song, Alligator (other title track), fro bsides I recommend Thriller, Nobody Else, Beastmode, Ride With U, Gasoline, Tropical Night and UR(if you want to have blessed by their vocals). (pt. 1) Thank you so much for your reaction! Monsta X really are on another level. They (Wonho included) are a huge influence on younger generations, and are pretty well known has “beast idols” of the stage. Don’t let that fool you though, they’re hilarious dorks in real life, and super humble individuals who love their fans a lot. Every one of them are insanely talented and wonderful people, and definitely bring a unique maturity to kpop. Btw, Monsta X comes from French (Mon = my) and star (sta, though the r should never be included) and the X represents the infinite unkown. Monbebe is also from French (mon = my, bebe = baby) Shownu (Son Hyunwoo) is the best leader, incredibly talented and just as kind. An amazing dancer, and as you know he helps choreograph their stuff a lot of time and occasionally helps write lyrics every once in awhile. Also an actor, we’re waiting for his appearance in Geodam S2 to finally come out. Currently serving his mandatory military time with community service as a daycare teacher, since bc of some medical stuff he’s not qualified for active duty. Luckily he’s already got tons of experience wrangling these chaotic people. We’re eagerly awaiting his return! You could never ruin anything by bringing up Wonho. More should, we love him a lot. Some others told you some about him and of the story it seems, but I’ll provide a bit more detail. Wonho (Lee Hoseok) is the second oldest (1992 line with Shownu) and a fantastic artist, a real all rounder honestly. He writes, helps compose and produce most all of his own music, which he also did a lot of in Monsta X, and of course he’s an amazing singer and dancer as well. He even has some rap he does sometimes 😁. And yeah, he’s pretty big. He worked very hard to get the body he has so I’m happy he shows it off as he likes. He’s well known for it, and has been an inspiration for the more buff body type in kpop since his original debut, though of course he’s much bigger now. Originally went through their (absolute shit) survival show No Mercy and debuted in 2015 with the rest of the members, and was with them for five years. He went through a rough but false scandal and left in late 2019. He never should have had to leave, but the industry is awful and his company (Starship originally, Highline now, though Highline belongs to Starship so they’re basically the same) didn’t protect him or Monsta X properly. Wonho’s return to the industry is frankly incredible. I’m not sure how much of the story you’ve already gathered, but Wonho’s “scandal” was part of a collection of attacks against MX that all happened fairly quickly. They were orchestrated by a former friend of Wonho’s, the shitty gossip rag Disp4tch, and a well known woman (actual criminal, and his former friend’s girlfriend) Han Se0 Hee, someone who is infamous for creating scandals and departures within other groups and their members as well, especially throughout 2019. It was like a giant terrible soap opera, it hardly seemed real. Anyway, there were several targeted attacks on MX, but Wonho ended up leaving the group in an attempt to protect them and take the scandal with him. The company clearly wasn’t against this or truly in support of him. Fans worldwide WERE against it, and raised tens and thousands of dollars for billboards in Times Square and around the world, vigils were held outside of their company building, and Monbebes basically took over trends on twt. Even PSY was signing petitions against his removal from the group. Starship never gave the fans anything, MX are forbidden to speak of him or be seen with him (supposedly for “protection”), and the fans continued on protesting for six straight months without any news until it finally came out that Wonho was cleared of the drug accusations made against him. He’d grown up in poverty and ran with the wrong crowd to get away from bullying as a teen, but took himself out of it long before he was famous and made himself the incredible person he is today. Still, many tried to use these things against him to ruin his name. His fans are the biggest reason he was able to return, though he’s made it clear that returning as a solo artist was the only option given to him. The gag orders MX/Wonho have regarding each other are still in effect, and the company routinely doesn’t promote him well (or at all for the most part) and up until his most recent comeback seemed to be trying to sabotage him, and had blacklisted him from most promotion avenues (except for common music shows) in the industry. He only recently was able to guest on a Korean radio shows during his comeback and now, the first times since his re-debut in 2020. He even went to a big end of year awards show yesterday and won his first award at AAA! We’re so very proud. Anyway, Despite all that, he is consistently on worldwide charts and is doing amazingly as a solo artist, through his and the fans’ efforts. It’s truly astounding the things he’s overcome and is still overcoming, and I’m insanely proud of him. Because of the company’s refusal to address Wonho’s situation or allow MX and Wonho to even be seen together in public, the fandom became extremely divided with toxic Wonho solo stans, people who didn’t want him in the group at all, MX haters, those who don’t want anything to do with him and are of the opinion that him being a part of the group should be a thing of the past, etc. Kpop fans are weird, man. These are a loud group of people, but in truth not the majority. Most of us are aware of their history and importance to each other, and would love for them to be able to work together again (or even just be seen together). So many groups have members with solo careers at the same time (like Jooheon and I.M), so there’s no reason Wonho can’t have his and also be in the group. They’ve always been an extremely close group who refers to each other as family, and we wouldn’t think company restrictions would change that. Their original contracts end next year, and Wonho goes to the military as well, so his contract will also be ending. We’ll just have to see what they do, and Monbebe/Wenee (Wonho’s fans) trust them to do what’s best for them and what they want. Until then, we’re happily supporting both of them and enjoying all the things they give us, which is a lot! We’re really the most spoiled fandom 😁. Wonho has his own personal channel called ohhoho, which he uses to share anything and everything he wants, from workout/exercise vids to mukbangs, to surfing or rock climbing and a lot more! It’s a great time, if you feel like checking it out. We’d love to see you react to his solo stuff too! Minhyuk (Lee Minhyuk) is the next oldest, currently helping out with Shownu’s usual duties in interviews and other appearances. He’s doing a great job, though they’re sure to remind us that Shownu’s always their true leader. As with all of Monsta X he’s got a great voice, impeccable dancing ability and way with words, which has gotten him many jobs as an MC and his own radio show. He does a lot of work for his group. Kihyun (Yoo Kihyun) is our main vocalist, and I’m absolutely gonna brag about him being among the very BEST vocalists in all of kpop. The k in kpop stands for Kihyun after all 😁. He helps write lyrics every once in awhile too. He’s got a lot of solo ost’s he’s done and some amazing covers, you should definitely check them out! Some pretty popular ones are Imagine Dragons songs, but all of them are mind blowing. Confident king.

(pt. 2) Hyungwon is next, and the youngest of the 1993 line. Where to begin here? Lead vocalist, lead dancer, sometimes choreographer, DJ (under name H.ONE), model, can rap and also hosts his own radio show with Jooheon. They all model, but Hyungwon and Minhyuk had some experience with it before debut. Actor, and currently in the kdrama Fly Again. Hilarious af, the father of many a viral meme. The 93 line can often be found bickering amongst themselves, much to the entertainment or long suffering of the rest. Recently wrote, composed, arranged and produced four of Monsta X’s songs on their latest three albums. Joohoney (Lee Jooheon, pronounced the same as Joohoney, without the “y”). He is….quite something, as you can see. I swear talent is just pouring from this man, you literally can’t contain it. Main rapper, can sing like a main vocalist, writes, composes, arranges, produces… He’s the star and teacher of other kpop idols, everyone respects him. Released fire stuff even before debut. He’s got credits on almost every single MX song, and made their last two title tracks (including this one). Often contributes one or more self made/produced songs to every album (as did Wonho, and so does I.M). Currently #8 on the list of most credited kpop stars. Duality of this man is insane honestly. Second youngest, he’s well known for being very bright off stage. A few mixtapes and solo stuff (recently PSYCHE) you’d love. I.M (Im Changkyun) is the youngest, which surprises a lot of people, but he’s quite happy with that position. Second lead rapper, now vocalist (was pretty shy about it at first), he writes all his own raps too and has almost as many writing credits as Jooheon. Yet another all rounder (honestly that’s just all of MX), he writes, composes, arranges, and produces. As stated previously, he contributes a lot of songs to MX’s discography and has his own solo work too. Most recently his mini album “Duality,” and single “Loop.” Currently #14 on that list of most credited kpop artists. Many mentioned this, but Jooheon and I.M’s “Sambakja” performance is LEGENDARY. Please do react to that if you’re interested 😁. All of Monsta X are some of the most genuine, kind and loving people I’ve ever seen, I truly cannot emphasize this enough. I’m sure people will provide you with lots of videos for evidence if you ask, but I myself will recommend the basic group guide by the chaena channel, as well as their individual member guides. They’re a bit dated, from 2019, but hold a lot important info you don’t always find in other guides. You can watch some more current guides as well once you’re done with those. There’s also a video called “Monsta X being educated and socially aware,” which has more good info. The MonstaX rap line have very good synergy. I think that's what makes them stand out from other k-pop rap lines. Also in k-pop, leaders are like the go-between between the music label and the rest of the group, so it's more like a "manager" position rather than the person who takes up the most screen-time. If you want to see more. MonstaX, I would recommend "Shoot Out" first and foremost. It's sort of the iconic MonstaX aggressive song.

Well thank you for reviewing Monsta X. They are an awesome group known for their professionalism and their devotion to their fans-Monbebes. Mullet-boy is Johooney and he is known for his rapping and yes giving his all. The other rapper, I.M., is known for his swag and kind-of in-your-face style. This is how they sing with/without the “leader” Shownu. They are really very nice men if you see more of the stuff out there about them. I would recommend you see “Love Killa”, “Gambler”, “Hero” (rooftop version), “Jealousy”, the list could go on. Just watch some of their silly videos and such and you’ll see that they are very nice. And, I also guarantee you WILL become a fan. Cheers!

Joohoney wrote and produced this song. I agree 100% that he is the absolute BEST rapper in kpop. Joohoney has solo songs you'd love and he and I.M have a live performance that is killer. You should check out Gambler or Shoot Out to see Shownu. Don't worry about mentioning Wonho. We Monbebe (their fandom name) LOVE Wonho. There was someone who accused him of some stuff that he was proven innocent of. During the process, he left Monsta X so the group wouldn't be affected by it all but they are all still very good friends and he's gone solo in a company owned by Starship. Loved your reaction. Replaying I.M's choreo and Minhyuk's vocals, you have taste! So happy I stumbled onto this reaction, love how you read up on their profiles and 'he's (wonho's) the swole one' just about broke me 😂 I love this song but in terms of raps, this isn't their most impressive or aggressive (no hate), Shoot Out, Trespass, Alligator, Hero, Follow, X-Phenomenon come to mind for one or both of those categories but literally every Monsta X song is incredible. The best rap line in Kpop period, doesn't matter what song. And the rappers can sing! Their solo work is fantastic! 'If the joker became a rapper'...Maybe check out Love Killa 👀

It's funny you mention The Joker, please review Love Killa (this has Shownu in it) and Beautiful as its an OT7 mv and Shownu did some of choreo for it. Hyungwon is also song writer and he's written 4 songs! Please check out Play It Cool (Monsta X ft Steve Aoki). Thank you so much for such an amazing reaction, I definitely agree that Joohoney and I.M are the best rap duo in kpop. They are unstoppable when you put them together and also they have released individual tracks which really showcase them as rappers. Joohoney's individual tracks "Intro: Ambition and Psyche" and then I.M's tracks "God Damn and Loop, he also ft in "Need to Know" with Elhae! Songs you have gotta check out of MONSTA X is Gambler (first title track produced by Joohoney), Love Killa (Visually so sick, got them dressed as Killas), Jealousy and Beautiful which has them as 7 members, their debut track is also incredible "Trespass" they've received a lot of hate from their music because they were told it was NOISE music that no one wanted to listen to but here we are 6 years later! Also check out Play it cool (Collab with Steve Aoki) an they collabed with French Montana on 'Who do you Love' and they have a FULL English Album "ALL ABOUT LUV"!!

I tried to read through all the comments below but was not sure if anyone mentions the reasons behind Wonho’s departure. If so, my apologies for the repeat lol. Wonho was accused drug use (marijuana for recreational use is banned in South Korea and could land you in jail)and stealing money from some girl who had been his roommate (she also tried to start nasty rumors about Shownu as well…girl was TROUBLE!) the accusations against Wonho was a huge media frenzy in Korea and instead of the whole group getting back lash and loosing their reputation, Wonho decided to leave the group to save them the humiliation. He was later found innocent on all charges but the damage had been done. Going back was not an option. During the investigation Monbebe’s pleaded for Wonho’s Return and stayed faithful fans to him through the whole mess. His debut song Losing You was written by Wonho and was a dedication to all his fans (the lyrics kill me, I legit cried) so if you decide to give Wonho’s solo a try I recommend you start with Losing you and then His next release song Open Mind. Spoiler alert, be prepared to be VERY offended again. He holds nothing back in Open Mind 😉😉😉… sorry this was sooo long, enjoy!! Side note: if you think Monsta X rapping, vocals & visuals are on point, PLEASE react to their dance practices. OMG they are a thing of beauty when they dance! Can’t wait to see what you think….and there are A LOT of them…lol…you’ve got 6 yrs worth to view!

To answer your question about album jackets for kpop. In kpop album's comes a photo book with the cd , the covers of the book is a group picture. Most kpop artists are deeply involved with the making of the jacket and photo books. Hopefully this helps you understand , any other questions just ask Monbebe try to help new fans...
