Wayfarers
@Justin-kn6dpАй бұрын
I wear the New Wayfarer primarily for driving, that's a good recommendation. However, the Original Wayfarer is also good because it completely covers the bottom of your vision from sun, which is really good if the road is wet and the sun is coming up off road surface. Since they were designed for sailing, I find them really good for driving as well.

Hey Gabriela, you look like a younger Shannon Elizabeth from the movie "American Pie" !

You have not addressed the fact that polarized glasses defeat the heads up display which many cars models now have available.

What makes Ray Ban different from Serengeti?
@sportrxeyewear8 ай бұрын
A lot! Design aesthetics, lens tech, Rx capabilities, etc. Serengeti offers Rx lenses in Trivex & Mineral glass materials where RB offers only polycarbonate & Hi index. RB's Chromance lens tech enhances color while Serengeti specializes in photochromic tints and mirror pairings. Ultimately comes down to personal preference but can't go wrong with either.

William Sheehan which Prizm?
@williamsheehan2604 жыл бұрын
Alex Ledfordtjere is one prizm
@alexledford47474 жыл бұрын
William Sheehan on the Oakley website, there are different types of Prizm lenses with different technologies...prizm road, prizm golf, prizm trail, prizm snow, prizm shallow water and prizm deep water...I was asking which one of those would be best for a driving application, assuming the answer would be Prizm Road, but wanting an answer with certainty.

Hi, can you throw some light regarding the Ray Ban Aviator L.A model 001/41 variant. I would like to know, if this is suitable for night driving. Can you share the soft copy of the brochure to my email. I have been trying to gather this information since long time.
@sportrxeyewear Жыл бұрын
HI Anto! Any tint, other than the often debated yellow, will likely prove too dark for any type of driving at night. Your best option is a clear lens paired with an Anti-Reflective coating. You can also have clear Rx lenses made to this frame! For more info click on the links below! 👇 kzbin.info/www/bejne/o5fcfX9vdtd6gZY kzbin.info/www/bejne/h2O1o5mvnL6dis0

Just be aware that polarized lenses and the LCD instrument/infotainment displays of most modern cars are not always a happy combination...

Polarized lenses affect depth perception. Generally not a good idea for driving.
@LOUNGELIQ Жыл бұрын
Well, I drive for a living and I wear polarized lenses, saving my eyes from glare for all those hoods and windshields, which is the worst thing while driving. The way you describe that depth is as if your world has changed from 3D real life to a 2D arcade game from the eighties when you wear polarized sunglasses.
@paulmisencik Жыл бұрын
@@LOUNGELIQ I think largely you're correct. I guess it depends on what you drive and how seriously depth perception matters to that driving. You're 100% right, it's not a MAJOR impact, and most people are operating in environments which are, let's say... not critical. I don't think a city bus driver would notice anything either way. I'm pretty sure a Formula 1 driver would. So it's just a question of environment and margins. But having spent my entire life in and around racing cars, I know racing drivers stay pretty clear of polarized lenses. Maybe it's more just... habit. "The party line." But for whatever reason, racing drivers don't tend to like polarized lenses.

Polarized lenses are not recomanded for piloting aircrafts because lcd screens become PITCH DARK when slithtly tilted, and what about COLORS ORGY, and rainbows in Windows, so....it's also NOT recomanded for car driving either, and more over.....Polarized lenses are less effective under full sunlight, because non Polarized lenses are DARKER....😉
@sportrxeyewear2 жыл бұрын
Hey Daniel! While you're most definitely correct about Pilots & Polarized lenses, they actually work well for general driving especially for cars that do not employ screen displays. There are also ways to further darken a polarized lens similar to that of a non-polarized lens. Check out our other videos that explore some of the pros & cons of polarized lenses! kzbin.info/www/bejne/m4aagZd9eKiEmpo
