He spreads genuine joy and laughter, he shocks people in a way that doesn't harm them. It never gets old and is beautiful to witness. It's not 'stereoid fake looks'. Different objectives. I think you don't understand the difference between powerlift and bodybuild. Anatoly does powerlifting, so he focuses on max strengh, that means how much weight you can lift, and the training consist in doing very short repetitions (1 to 5 reps.) in 3 exercises: Squats, Bench Press and Deadlift. Bodybuilding, on the other hand, focuses on gaining muscles, that means how much resistance your muscles can handle, and the training consist in doing many repetitions (8 - 15) and taking short time between each serie. In both disciplines you do hypertrophy, but in powerlifting is a side aspect as they focus on developing max strengh, while in bodybuilding hypertrophy is primarly objective. The man he surprises at 05:45 is extremely strong for a non profesional bodybuilder, lifting 200Kg in deadlift. If you put Anatoly to compete with him or a profesional bodybuilder in isolated exercises, let's say biceps curl, he will lose on the repetition counts. Anatoly is one the best examples that shows with discipline and focus, you can achieve great results, as every one of us get surprised watching him lift 3 times his weight with ease.
