I think the sweetest part of the show is how the men bonded & worked through their many feelings. When do men get the chance to do that in such a healing way? It's been beautiful to watch their connections and closeness! Mark is sweet but he's not strong enough to take the lead and initiate engaging in conversation with one woman, let alone 20+ women. I think he would drown given his lack of being ready.

Mark as a lead would remind me of what I thought of Joey as a lead before his season started: soft-spoken, sweet, not dynamic. But it turned out to be just nice and him as being open and kind - and the women leading the show. I am not sure that would work in the golden bachelor world, but the women at Gerry's show were a hit.

The group of men really learned so much from each other! Especially Pascal cause now he knows how to do his laundry thanks to Mark! LOL But seriously these men are definitely wiser and more fun to watch than the young bachelors who are always trying to steal time away with the girl. I love that when they were bowling that Guy said to Chock, don't stifle her let others have some time. IT was handled way differently than if a young Bachelor had done that. Now saying that, I'm sure the Producers have more fun pitting the young bachelors against each other rather than doing that to the older Bachelors. I think there's a lot more respect on the show's behind the scene people with Golden series. So I enjoyed this season! BUT they need to talk about if they are willing to move into each other's home and families, otherwise we're gonna have a repeat of the Gerry situation. And I do not see her successfully falling in love with any of them. But she now has some great new male friendships that will be in her corner forever. She could call any one of these guys up and go out to dinner or a movie. I really hope Fantasy Suites is not an option but I'm afraid CHOCK is full of NUTS! (That's a coffee brand!) He's too eager and it's not appealing.

Chock is a Cheap Cheesy Cheeky Challenger who interrupted Joan repeatedly at their first sit-down. It worries me that Joan seems to prefer him. It might indicate that this type of behavior is familiar to Joan and therefore she is attracted to it. He sets off all kinds of inauthentic alarms in me.

Guy had a restraining order that was filed against him in 2021. Chock used to be my favorite for Joan until my boyfriend and I watched the episode in which he was all over her during the GROUP date. We found it controlling/possessive, obnoxious, and selfish. He even stated he didn't care what the other men thought. She should see his behavior for the red flag that it is. I live in a gated community on a golf course / club in FL. It is amazing how many widows & widowers have gotten together. They know each other first as neighbors and friends and as golfers . They don’t jump around but have stayed together and don’t marry . They all except one who married , keep their own homes. This process seems very unnatural to me .

Joan's husband was found guilty of fraud, embezzlement, etc. He was sentenced but passed. So I have been looking at her differently. I really like Joan. I had such a bad reaction to how both Gerry and Theresa navigated their relationship that I gave up on the Golden version. They made us 70ish folks look foolish. How could they possibly think getting married 4 weeks after the finale made any kind of sense? But as I watched the various recaps this time around I saw that Joan is doing it right. She's lovely.

Okay, I don't really measure anything - just chuck it all in a big bowl and add items by taste... the healthiest peanut butter you can find... old fashioned rolled oats... honey (or whatever sweetener you prefer)... flax seeds and or chia seeds... chocolate chips. This time I added a crunchy fiber-rich cereal for texture. Then just roll into balls and put in the fridge, and voila - you can feed three boys and a mom and sister anytime of day!
