@@malloryjohnson2301 the breakfast buffet is included with your stay, and it was awesome. We didn’t venture off the property except to walk down to the beach and go to the national park. I’m not sure what restaurants are within walking distance. There might be some information about that on their website.

@@leejeffries9796 so that’s right there by Panama then? We were talking to someone down there that said there’s quite a few hoops to jump through for people from the states wanting to buy property. Is there any truth to that?

Just stayed in Costa Rica from the 9th-17th. It was really enjoyable. Staff was kind, gym up the hill is free if you’re staying at Shana. Great 10/10 experience.

I was wondering about the gym. I didn’t get to make it up there. That would’ve been a great addition to the video. Did the gym just have machines, or free weights as well?

quick question - did you feel safe on that beach? I know it can also be accessed by a road to the left and is technically open to the public so I'm wondering if it felt too remote? I've seen photos of it actually quite crowded so idk?
@familyvacay_dfw
@familyvacay_dfw 10 ай бұрын
We went down there twice and it felt perfectly safe to us. We only saw 1 other family down there both times, but we were there during the week, so it might be a little more crowded on the weekend. Not sure about that. As far as feeling remote… that’s kind of what was cool about it to us. The walk through the rainforest to get down there was beautiful and is something that we’re not used to, and it was far enough away from everything to feel a little secluded, but not so far that we were out in the middle of nowhere. We were there during the rainy season too, so that could’ve also played a role in the beach not being crowded. When are you planning to go?
@taragatorade
@taragatorade 10 ай бұрын
that answers my question perfectly. I love secluded beaches but not what I would consider isolated. this one sounds perfect and the fact that its a maintained path is great for the kiddos. We're going in November so I believe the rainy season as well. thanks so much! @@familyvacay_dfw

Hey thanks for the upload! I'm going to visit Shana Hotel later this year with my family. Is there any local bars within walking distance of the hotel, and how far is the walk to Espadilla Beach from the Hotel? Thanks Again!
@familyvacay_dfw
@familyvacay_dfw 8 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks so much for watching! We didn’t venture much off the property other than walking down to Playa Biesanz, which is the little beach in the video, and then we went to the National Park, which is about a 10 minute drive from the Shana. After searching online, it looks like there might be a few restaurants/bars within walking distance, but most places will be at least a mile or 2 away. I’d call that driving distance with all the hills being as steep as they are 😂 It looks like Espadilla Beach is about a 20 minute walk from the Shana. We only went to Playa Espadilla Sur, which is a little section of Espadilla Beach that you’ll reach after walking through the National Park. Are y’all planning on visiting the National Park?

How long did it take there to get from the airport? Are there shuttles by chance? Thank you!
@familyvacay_dfw
@familyvacay_dfw 7 ай бұрын
Hey! Thanks for watching! Manuel Antonio is a little over 100 miles from San Jose and it looks like there’s plenty of options for shuttles online. The shared busses look like they cost a little less and private shuttles look like a little more. We rented a car, so we didn’t have any experience with public transportation, but there’s plenty of options available.
