Most of these places dont have ANY of the classic food we actually eat in Mexico City. While surely delicious, why cant foreigners visit and appreciate the food we actually eat here?

That's because restaurants need to innovate their recipes to attract customers. This happens everywhere. If everyone only ate 'classic foods' then there would be no reason to try a new restaurant. Put yourself in the shoes of a new business owner who wants customers.

Far from being close to introduce the real best places to eat in Mexico, this list seems made by a “tour foreign guide” that just appreciates hipster places… NON of this places are close to real high end Mexico City’s great restaurants, both Mexican style, and international…
