i use the ruber lid and with trial and error of different stregths, grind and amount in the pod i have it dialled better than a nespresso pod

I refill pods a lot, but in the end that pod had coffee caked on the side and looked like it had exploded 🤨 mine never comes out like that but my refill kit really presses it down firm and it stays on well and comes out clean

@@sherriiamaio7246 I got mine on Amazon, it was made of Metal, but I use a plastic one sometimes too I also got from Amazon, honestly I feel like his refill kit also would work fine, I don't fully know why it looked like it had exploded inside the machine

Yeah, the line "can't really tell much of a difference" clued me into this being a biased review. Gonna be fun cleaning the Nesspresso machine every month.

@@sttevenin818 I clean my machine regularly, and its never super gross or dirty, I have had weeks when I use only Nespresso and weeks when I use only refill, not to mention the first 2 years I only did Nespresso brand, I notice absolutely no difference, which makes me think either his lids are bad, or he doesn't seal them well.. mine fall into the bin after use and they have NO grounds on it, which is what I noticed about his pods, they were caked in grounds, and that can't be good for his machine

I’ve used a similar one but the cream did not seem as thick as the regular pod. Is there something i can do to make the cream thicker?

I think you are supposed to use a grind halfway between espresso and moka-pot. Using such a fine grind is why you had so many grounds on the outside of the pod.

I didnt get this one but a similar on amazon, same black thing with lids, yes this actually works not like the metal one that damages yours, i blended mine with Pilon espresso (my fav hands down) and a cheap french vanilla roast 80/20 ratio, and I personally thing its as good maybe better given the fact that you can blend your own.

What I don't get: I thought each pod had a chip or bar code that told the Virtuo Creatista how to brew the brew. Is that code on the reused pod or on the replaced foil cap? Do I care what brew was originally in the pod? Should I try to match beans? Also, any idea how many times a pod can be refilled? Thanks so much!

The code only tells the machine how much water to run through the pod.

I've been refilling my pods for a few months... my favorite coffee is Bustelo... I enjoyed Costas Rica blend from Nespresso, but made me strangely tired... I was happy with my Cuisinart coffee maker, but my husband wanted this... as long as I can have my Bustelo, I don't care what coffee maker comes in...lol

My unit doesn’t seem to like these, the machine makes a grinding noise and some of the coffee always ends up in the secondary drain, any suggestions?
