Gilgamesh's Gate of Babylon along with his skills Golden Rule and Collector, means that his wealth is literally future proofed. Meaning that if some new genius comes along and invents something what WE think is new, Gilgamesh would already have a proxy or prototype version of that same invention in his gate. Meaning that aside from divine constructs and relics tied to a Servant's legend that weren't explicitly used (like Karna's Vasavi Shakti) or isn't a weapon but a legend personified (Heracles' God Hand) he will have weapons, armor, technology, games, food, etc.

What i think the take between kings is to demonstrate different ways of rulling. Like, rider would fail if he had been king of camolat. And how saber would fail if she was king of Babylonia. But the reson artoria became like she became was because merlin was a pice of work😢

That's exactly their issue with her tho, they respected her legend and considered it goated, yet the person herself trying to deny it, even go so far as wishing for its erasure. From Gil and Iskandar PoV, that's an insult to her own ideal and everyone else who made the legend along side her, which a king should never do.

8:04 that's just basic rule of HGW, reveal your servant's name will also reaveal his/her weakness to the enemies (how they die in legend and use it against them). this is also why servant dont use their Noble phantasm too soon. in Gil case he just deem you unworthy to know hear his name

I also like how rider revealed lots of things about saber that mirrors shirou in the stay night routes. That "your dream of kingship is a curse" mirrors how archer told shirou that what he got from kiritsugu, his dream of being a hero, is actually a curse...

Fun fact, shirou/archer aren't the only ones who can use a reality marble apart from iskandar. Kiritsigu uses one, but uses his body to house it. Nero from fate/extra also uses one, but it's more there to buff her in the same way a domain expansion normally does...

Glad to see you like Rider's speech about kingship. The banquet of kings, this episode taught younger, edgy battle shounen loving me that an something can be goated even without fights. This, to this day, is the greatest display of using words instead of fists that I've ever witnessed. It gives you a peek at the three kings, their beliefs, and where they are right and wrong. What's more is, for a sequence that's almost completely talking, it does a great job of balancing exposition through words, and showing instead of telling, especially in saber's expression during rider's speech about her past and her wrongness...

Funnily, the kingdoms of all three of them collapsed. Iskandar's or Alexander the great's empire fell because he died from illness and his sons were assassinated leaving no heir to inherit the throne and his generals split his empire, Saber's kingdom fell because she was betrayed by her people and her half sister plotting behind her back and also due to the absence of her advisers(Merlin & Agravain), and Gilgamesh's kingdom fell because of unknown reasons but if I'm going to guess it is because he didn't choosed to have a heir so when he died his kingdom also died with him but he is fine with it as long there are few people who will continue their legacy. Ironically, the most tyrannical king among the three have the better rank in charisma than Rider and Saber. Rider's leadership is well..... already stated in the episode. Saber's kingship is about selflessly serving the people of her kingdom. Her circumstances is pretty complicated compare to the two rulers. She is the perfect example of a ideal ruler that everybody wants but doesn't deserve. Her kingdom could've be more prosperous but unfortunately her people specifically the high ranking ones are power hungry corrupt politicians. Sadly her kingdom's downfall is a canon event so preventing from happening it is like fighting the whole world itself. Meanwhile, Gilgamesh despite being a tyrant is surprising a very decent king. He properly ruled his kingdom while his subjects served him and he also treated them properly. Note: this is the Gilgamesh who matured after his quest for immortality. The other stuff about him is in Fate/Grand Order Babylonia. So it is just a matter of perspective. The answer is all of them are right depending on the context.

@@hallinoxx9709 Nah, I agree with you man. I don't know why Nasu allowed this when he was supervising Gen Urobuchi' writing. That's mostly why Fate/Zero isn't really canon to Stay/Night and why this Saber isn't even the same one, completely different. There's absolutely no shot that Saber would be talked to like that without a proper response, she basically looked humiliated. That's the only thing I hate about this, it's grossly inaccurate to her character. I guess Nasu allowed it because it was in fact an alternate timeline but people take it differently without knowing is the problem.

@@cmartin1409 Absolutely. As far as I remember it was only recently that Nasu confirmed its a different timeline tho, it was meant to be the same and canon. But yes, its a completely different Saber and quite literally the opposite of what she's supposed to be.

@@hallinoxx9709 Yeah that's why I laugh when I see people say Zero is better than Stay/Night. Saber is a massive part of why I even became a fan of the series to begin with. Even the anime, idc what anyone says, Shirou is also a better protagonist than Kiritsugu and Saber is actually her, not just some random cheap knockoff. I know a lot of people that relate to anime Shirou a lot more, but it's more a matter of having to read between the lines about his inner turmoil and figuring his character out because it's not as obvious as the visual novel. Sure, I think they could've adapted Stay/night a bit better but as far as others saying he's a dumb MC and they make them mad or something stupid, that's just being straight up disingenuous. Guy's literally a highschool student with no clue what's going on and they want him to be some rapid growing MC with OP anime powers. Like it ain't gonna happen if we're even being logical.

8:26 - Its basically a word for greatness leaning towards generosity. 16:06 - He the King of Conqueror's and from the type of Kingship he ruled he's most speaking from experience. 16:17 - He's not wrong honestly, if you look at a lot of ancient hero legends many of them did some "questionable" things at minimum, but were still praised as Heroes. Even the Legends of King Arthur, have some less than ideal moments from the King, and "his" Knights. 20:50 - Not that, more like she's doubting herself since Rider hit some sore spots. On a personal note, don't fully agree with Rider on all points and think both him and Saber had faults in this argument, namely pushing their idea's of what is a King as the sole one. That said he did have legitimate point on Artoria isolating herself 24:11 - Archer Emiya also did one ij his fight with Shirou remeber? 24:47 - Setting aside you immediately getting proven wrong (Like i've said, don't speak too soon), does that detail matter or change anything of he's talking about? It's a personal value, also Iskandar is technically dead so not really an argument. 27:24 - That is A King without question, which gives Saber perspective.

Well reality marble is a very rare thing in magecraft world. And it's heavily tied to the personal faith. In fact, person must believe in its own truth more, than world's resistance. Hence it wouldn't spoil anything, in fourth singularity there shall appeare Charles Babbage, and in fgo description, his np is a partial reality marble manifestation of a steampunk world :) Later dev's decided to develop more different np and skill types, in order not to be 'one trick pony' or so) And oh well. I feel like we're gonna get Gil poster on the wall after finishing some anime)

Reality marbles aren't uncommon in heroic spirits but super rare in humans for example rider didn't have reality marble when he was a human in all of human history only 6 humans have ever had reality marbles shirou is one of them

Regarding gilgamesh's noble phantasm, he can't get "anything he wants" only stuff he collected during his lifetime, the thing is he collected pretty much everything of worth on the planet during his lifetime, including holy blades, magical elixirs and advanced artifacts.

Although the lighting is different in UBW because it was day and this is night. Same as with the garden where the homonculus maids get killed in UBW is the same they have their drink in this episode

the power of each persona of an assassin is 1/80 of the power of a normal servant so their all incredibly weak in comparison and the only servant who would probably lose to assassin in a straight on fight is lancer because he has no AOE attacks or even special moves at all

I think archer already knows the grial is corrupted so wishing anything wouldn't work. And if you think about it a world where the grial isn't corrupted means there is no Archer bc his origin is tied with the Fuyuki fire.

19:04 Saber's dialogues and reaction from here onwards is quite controversial according to the fanbase, but i don't think it's that bad. F/Z author wanted to show the audience how dominating iskandar is when it comes about his lifestyle and choices. Rider is him, but that doesn't mean we shall belittle saber for acting the way she did, which many fans won't understand. Yeah she acts more like an immature little girl here compared to her stay night version, but it's just what f/z author went with, he wants us to think saber is traumatized and will try to learn from her wrong-doings she did in her past life. Everyone have different needs, some have regrets while others don't. Saber has regrets while rider (maybe) doesn't..

While I do agree with what you said, it's still inaccurate to her character and how she would have responded if this was canon to the Stay/Night series. In all honesty, I think Saber would've had them flat on their backs with a proper response and there's no way she would've been talked to like that. The least Urobuchi could've done was give her more dialogue but she was completely left speechless, admitting defeat. Regardless though, I still agree with most of what you said mostly because what she said in my eyes was still right but it was the execution of the way the writer did it more than anything. He just went a little too overboard with Sabers chivalry and selflessness which I still do believe Saber has but this was the extreme without any counter-balancing, Saber was definitely a tyrant just like they were. All this is to say, Urobuchi had no clue how to write Sabers character but thankfully Nasu admitted to this being an alternate timeline that wasn't canon to Stay/Night, so I can live with it as an alternate possibility to what may have happened but in no way "canon" to Stay/Night.
