Oh, other things I like about the show: the art quality and animation are great… especially where it counts, hehe. ^_^ The main characters are also very likeable: Masachika Kuze, Alissa “Alya” Kujo, and Yuki Suou. After watching three episodes, this is one my favorite anime series this season.

It's an interesting concept to have someone speak another language, think the other person doesn't understand, but they actually do understand. Not only that but the words in Russian are terms of endearment.

Sumire Uesaka can actually speak Russian. People are calling it crappy. It's a Japanese citizen speaking another very hard language. People gotta give her a break. She's doing her best.

Im not an expert in Russian by any means so I dont know how close to native it sounds. But it definitely doesnt bother me at all and I think you shouldnt be super critical of someone speaking another language that isnt their native. Its very hard to do so I give her a lot of respect. - Red

Aw man. I was hoping that wouldn't happen. I was actually thinking about that while watching. Wonder how it sounded to others. Sucks that they're being critical.

What I like about the show is that it doesn’t follow most of the tropes… like the hypersensitive male protagonist that is wimpy and doesn’t know how to act around girls, or the two dimensional tsundere girl lead (like how Alya is understanding about accidents). One trope that IS bothering me is how the protagonist doesn’t realize or believe that the girl really likes him.
