Now this is how you sell a product, get the audience interested, demonstrate the capabilities, then tell them about it. This man knows how to sell to an audience for sure.

+Truly Infamous - Letting the product help you sell the product; Than using his showmanship and personality, he was able to become a millionare. Likability in selling a product is also a huge factor; Good on him for knowing it, using it, and selling people a product that works.

this guy was amazing. I used to see him near my office in Manhattan. One day he would sell vegetable peelers, the next day it would be children's books. It was always the same reaction. he would draw a huge crowd and then people would just start buying. I saw a short news story about his life on CBS. He was actually quite well off financially, living in a beautiful place near Park Ave (and help paying for his children / grand children's college educations). He always worked for himself selling items on the street, for decades.

I worked in a restaurant 12 years ago right off union square. He would come in periodically for dinner with his daughter. Hi s natural speaking voice didn't exist. He was perpetually horse. When I heard he passed, I remembered what an iconic figure he was, he screamed all day until he had no voice .

I'd buy the 5 for £20. He said one lasts a lifetime, I just got an excellent peeler for me, my son, my son's son, my son's son's son and my son's son's son's son and all of that for 20 fuckin' pounds. Bloody hell that's a bargain and a half!

I remember him, I also remember the Police harassing him on multiple occasions. He’s been arrested for selling peelers. He was a good man just making an honest living.

Kabali Kahn I knew him as a salesman in UnionSquare. He was out every time they had the farmers market. I’ve watched him sell and also watched him get arrested by NYPD in handcuffs. He was retired and did this to supplement his income.

A true inspiration, he is a honest hard working old man who believes in his product. Can you imagine being his age sitting on a stool 8 or 9 hours a day 6 days a week peeling carrots & potatoes. Unbelievable and I bet sadly missed by his daughter & grand daughter. He earned every penny honestly with hard work.

A true salesman is not judged by the sales he makes but the smiles he produces.
@jinamerica9 жыл бұрын
You're speaking of an entertainer. Yes, a salesman should entertain, but a true one does so while being honest and making sales.
@superbad19829 жыл бұрын
Kieran Rogers A salesman is not there to entertain. His product being pushed is why he is there, If his sales pitch is boring so shall his sales be. But a true sales person is an entertainer because to get people to buy your product they have to buy you.. And for them to buy into you you have to believe in your product. This man stood by his product and from what i can see it is worth every penny.. Hell i want one now.. My peeler sucks. I have the one from the .99 cents store.
