Graduated in 2021 from USA with a BA in Criminal Justice… trying to switch into Cybersecurity and I want to move to Finland. Best way to do this is to go for another bachelors… any suggestions on what type of Uni for cybersecurity in Finland? I don’t have enough money to study so definitely will look into the scholarship! Oh thats an interesting background you have! Cybersecurity and criminal justice sound like a super interesting combo - even if you dont necessarily want to pursue criminal justice in your career. Of the top of my head, i would suggest that you apply to Aalto university, first for a bachelors in Data Science (link below), after which you will have a right to continue into a masters programme like Security and Cloud Computing. This is naturally just one option and there are plenty of other ways to go about this 👍 Regardless, i hope this helps. I wanted to ask one small thing (and if anyone can help): I am applying for Masters in Data Science in University of Helsinki, my current CGPA is 7.28 - which translated to their 7 points (after converting and check it with the point scale from studyinfo). The minimum criteria is of 8 points for academics. Apart from academics i have 6+ months industrial work experience in 2 different companies, and I have won a Scholarship award in my home country. Should i be worrying about my application getting rejected straightaway? or should i at least give it a try ? Please help me.

Aalto University would be a great choice for this especially if you also want to do master's degree. However, if you are not interested in doing master's after your bachelor's, then I'd recommend that you look at some of the universities of applied sciences that we have in Finland.

Hey and thanks for the question. Phd studies in Finland are free of charge so there are no tuition fees. This also means that there are no phd scholarships in Finland. Instead, there is a whole different system for funding your phd and i recommend that you read on this topic from this website: www.studyinfinland.fi/scholarships/doctoral-funding or by contacting universities that you are interested in to ask about their funding options.
