Watched 'Dark' when 1st offered. Spellbinding writing that works on many levels. Totally unpredictable, and utterly compelling. I was hooked, and hated to see the series end, but it was one of the best and most satisfying conclusion. 10/10, absolutely.

Dark was an epic story. The show was brilliant. Baran Bo Odar’s next show, 1899, was shaping up to be another masterpiece, the last episode of season one was a mind bending cliff hanger like no other. Unfortunately it was cancelled. I want a season 2, the story needs an ending.

The scope of this story is unbelievable…the concepts, the sheer horror at what humanity faces…I love Dark, Altered Carbon, Stranger Things. They are fairy tales compared to 3BP. I can’t wait for more of it on Netflix!

i see a lot of comments about Another Life. i've been a hard-core sci-fi fan since the 70s. i thought Another Life was very well done. it's on my top 20 for sure.

they did. there's room for more, but the original premise was completed, closing the story. i won't spoil it much, but there was a note sent by grant explaining things didn't work, and positioning people to change the future. i thought it was an awesome ending to the series.

I'm a lifelong ambitious SF-Fan. All my favourites were here, but i miss: *"The O.A."* which should still surely have its place in the list. Sadly this exceptional series was canceled after session 2, which caused intenational big fan protests, but instead its still worth to see!! I further highly recommend the ambitious, dramatic and scientifical exact *"3 body problem"* (great "character-painting!"! - will be contained... following session 2 is in work...), *"Sense 8"* (A intense, typical, highly sensitive , nusual, breathtaking & intelligent and worthful true Wachowski film series ...), and *"Travellers"* , which is highly suspenseful and gives a lot to think about humans future with its plot that has a straight relation to our present catastrophal political and environmental issues) - and last but very much not least the mysterious , puzzling, truely dark, intelligent, intenseful and mega-dramatic *"Dark"* - that surprised me being a german production ( where the plot also is happing...) with its complexity and high quality... You are right some of the staff they show on Netflix is just for effects less scientific explanation, Chinese version explains it more technically. Characters also are totally different as Netflix looking for diversity in cast more than realism.

I agree with only some of the above and I haven't seem some of them but I definetely miss here anime ones: love death and robots, arcane, cowboy bepop, I miss star trek (at least deep space 9 and some of Voyager), i miss the 100 and at least 4 more that are on the edge of top 10: lost, alien worlds, tribes of europe (makers of dark) and at least first seasons of umbrella academy

Just to clarify... The expanse was originally aired on the SyFy channel which, for some mind boggling reason, chose to cancel it after 3 seasons. Prime picked it up and ran it for another 3 seasons.

Season 2 of Another Life is really good and I enjoyed it a lot, but you have to go through season 1 which is terrible. I recommend something like watching the first episode of season 1, then the last episode of season 1 (these two episodes are still very bad, but you need the gist of the first season to understand season 2), and then watching season 2. You can also watch a recap of season 1 and then watch season 2. In any case, don't watch the whole season 1 of Another Life.

Well, Lost in Space was getting very good if not excellent then when they were close to the culmination they ended the series. Which really wasted everything that came before and leaves you pissed. You're crazy. You gave up right when Darks story gains momentum. Almost every show is usually a 3 episode slow burn before they really take off. You should go back and give Dark another try. Trust me. Seasons two and three are even better. I think your username explains a lot about why you didn't like Dark. You have a childish mindset which is why you think Stranger Things is better ( it is good). But Stranger Things is more like a "Are you afraid of the dark" kind of show, meant for younger audiences. Where as Dark is a more complex show, tailored to adults. I enjoyed them both, but Dark is unparalleled in every aspect of cinematography & story telling.
