Fantastic video Bjorn, thanks. Forgive me, but your comment about the backup / restore feature [backs up the site and restores it] is not entirely accurate. All that feature does is to export the plugin's settings so it can be restored (transferred) to another site or back on the same site if needed. Thank you.

Ah, I did gloss over that one. I’ll add a message to the description. Thanks for pointing that out!

Just a FYI, if you go messing with DB permissions, you could break your site... some plugins and services require the permissions to be what they are se t to... which is not wide open, but not restricted so much that only you can access it.

Don't understand the push for this...I can easily find out on your website what your page builder is and I can easily see what plugins you use. In fact, I can see it easily on the homepage of Hide My WP Ghost... Maybe I am missing something, but isn't the whole point of this plugin is to be able to hide everything ? Maybe I don't understand...hope you clarify what I am missing...

The point is to hide as much as you can. You can hide everything unfortunately. And sorry for the delay. I'm still trying figure out my summer holiday work schedule!

Hi Bjorn, thank you for another amazing video! I usually use iThemes security for my websites. Do I still need to use it while using this plugin? Thank you!
@mrjohncrumpton
@mrjohncrumpton 2 жыл бұрын
I wondered about that too. On the website is says they work together with iThemes working to block attacks actively (firewall) while Hide My WP Ghost hides common hacking doors (folders and files).
@wplearninglab
@wplearninglab 2 жыл бұрын
They can work together as long as you're careful. Problems arise when you have two plugins doing the same things on the same site. If you're using both iThemes and HideMyWP then make sure you go through all the settings and make sure you don't have overlapping settings activated in both plugins.

Hello there, Do we need other major security plugins along with it like wordfence free version. Or do you think this is an almost complete security plugin and we don't need others?

what happen to all the changes once there is a theme update?
@Androidify767

Thanks for the great tutorial! I made these changes but now when using Elementor and trying to preview changes, I see only the plain theme skeleton and don't see any of the changes I made. Things really looks messed up after applying those changes, any idea why?
@Julio860JVL
@Julio860JVL 2 жыл бұрын
Yes, the reason why is because this plugin biggest strength is also its biggest weakness and this KZbin video was a paid review. Which in other words means the video was made to gain monetary compensation without thinking on what could happen to the viewers who will follow this video.

Does this have an impact on the seo?
@wplearninglab
@wplearninglab 2 жыл бұрын
Good question Jérôme, good security never impacts SEO or site speed. The content that search engines ranks that the URLS to that content are not changed, except for the category and tag URL changes you can make with this plugin like I show in the tutorial. Since the content is not changed SEO should not be affected. But the opposite is true, if your site is hacked and it's not fixed for extended period of time that can affect SEO REALLY badly. I hope that helps :) Let me know if you have any further questions. Thanks for watching!

hi how do you do!! can you solve my problem ?..... in my WordPress blog posts I want to display "keyword based related posts" under my blog post ....... can you solve this:)
@wplearninglab
@wplearninglab 2 жыл бұрын
Hi Ajit, I haven't done that before. But related posts plugins automatically show related posts based on title, categories or tags. If you have posts with similar keywords in the same category, which is a good idea anyway, you could use a regular related posts plugin. If you need to have specific keywords in the related posts then you could create a custom field using ACF. In that custom fields enter the keyword for each post. Then you'd have to use some custom code similar to what is on this help page support.advancedcustomfields.com/forums/topic/how-to-show-related-posts-based-on-custom-fields/ to find and display other posts based on keywords. You would probably have to hard code the keywords that similar and add new ones each time there is a post with a new similar keyword.
