@@muzix248 There is not a satisfactory data available for best selling albums before 90s because it was not era of casettes which people used to buy during 90s Radio was main source of listening songs only few people used to buy records Binaca Geetmala was only Radio program used to judge popularity of songs not albums so it could not be said which album was popular I will give you example in 1956 both albums of chori chori and Cid got tremendous popularity and songs of both albums are remembered till date be it aaja Sanam madhur Chandni mai hum , ye raat bheegi bheegi of chori chori or leke pehla pehla pyar, yeh hai Bombay meri jaan of Cid But yeh hai Bombay meri jaan got #1 in Binaca Geetmala 1956 countdown But it is song how can popularity of albums judged
