I am not a fan of using mains plugs for 12V DC, beause if someone else grab a light and plug it in the wrong socket, things will blow up. But the idea with magnets on all items is really great.

Thanks for the input you are correct the only one that goes into my vans is me so I do not worry about that, one of my vans I had years ago I had both a DC system and AC in that case I had orange and grey plates to know the difference.

@@locksmithinginnovation11 The modern world with Solar and battey packs have given us some really nice and solid DC connectors, that was hard to find 20 years ago. And to do a safe version of your setup, would be to only use the neutral and ground pin for your 12V. Then there would never be a risk of contact with the line/live pin, even if plugged in a real mains socket
