Best Settings for Minecraft Java Edition - Maximize FPS

This video compares all the settings inside Minecraft to figure out the best settings that will give the most FPS while still maintaining a good-looking game. You can either try out my recommendations or make your own based of the comparisons I show in the video.
It was really interesting testing and playing Minecraft again, since this is a game I played a lot with my friends when it came out. I never understood what the settings in Minecraft meant, so even though there was not that many of them, I never knew what to pick. Therefor I wanted to test these out and finally figure out what the different settings do.

I am playing on a 1440p monitor upscaled to 4K while testing the game. This was done to ensure that my pc was used to its fullest but also to allow me to test the game in multiple resolutions when needed.

I love these videos, and I like the idea of improving framerates in these high-demanding games. one of the more demanding games I play is Escape from Tarkov, the issue is, I have a hard time finding a really good guide on FPS and In-Game Settings for this game. If you take suggestions, you should look into Tarkov if you like exploring these types of games. At the end of the day, please do what ever you'd like to the most, I only want to suggest. Keep up these videos! Rarely anyone is this detailed.

always remember to cap fps. keeping it at unlimited makes more lag spikes and it drains more power that u dont need. i personally keep it at 60-90

Yeah, capping your fps at something you can maintain most of the time playing can help get you a smoother experience.

Just letting you know that I have experienced extreme lag spikes when chunk updates happen with biome blend on high (specifically on the border of two biomes where the biome blending is taking place). However this was back in 1.14 so I'm not sure if this happens nowadays. Might be a good thing to keep in mind if anyone experiences the same kind of lag I did.

Also, you should do this with all the optifine settings. I'm sure a lot of people would want to see that!

Did not experience that lag with biome blend, but thanks for sharing, I will lookout for others having lag problems and see if that is causing the issue. Also, thanks for the suggestion eventhough I have never used it myself I know that a lot people use that mod, so it might be worth visiting 😉

You can maybe talk about minecraft with optifine and sodium. They both improve your fps but sodium is in my opinion better. Almost everyone uses some kind of fps mod because the game itself does not support many important fps options.

A laptop will allways be slower than its stationary counterpart because of thermal and power limits.
