Love the new camera quality I know you were struggling with the lighting at the beginning but the adjustment really helped. It's always learning curve getting a new camera. The El Goliath is one of my most favorite decks! I have done a lot of work with it and journaling and healing. I'm just finishing my deep dive with the Mary-El, I have the first Ed and It bears from the RWS meanings quite a bit in the minors.. but is really insightful and has a ton of depth. I am sorry that someone thought it was their place to criticize you or your channel. I love to watch your channel!

That sounds amazing!! I haven’t had the headspace to go wayyyy deep with the El Goliath - the maximum number of cards I draw is limited to 2 each time because it’s so confronting hahahaha. Yes, I enjoy the Mary El too. Ahhhhh thank you so much for your kind words. It was a family member I respected but I no longer want to give them that unwarranted respect. Just wondered why it got me so bothered so there’s some shadow work to do there haha ❤️❤️🙏🏼

Hi, Casper. I so agree with your choices! The Barbara Walker Tarot is my number one deck for shadow work, it has always given me a NO BS reading. And Thoth is my everyday deck but still one that works perfectly for shadow work as well. Loved seeing your choices!

I am very interested in shadow work stuff. A little mini series could be really fun and super helpful for those of us just starting out in working with our shadow in a more formal way. For me, I just notice when I have certain feelings around a topic, I sit with it and question why, and then work on accepting it as an aspect of me. But there are shadows that haven’t been mirrored back to me and these are the ones that would be helpful for me to explore with new tools.

I would love to see a walkthrough of the Tarot of the Holy Spectrum! I have been using it daily and at times I have struggled to understand it. I finally received my Botan Tarot and I feel like it’s good for diving deep into the unconscious and the shadow. The card I received in my interview to represent the personality and the energy of the deck were the High Priestess and the Page of Wands respectively which to me means actively searching for and discovering the hidden parts of yourself. And the Botan was super accurate about giving me a “me” card. I also find the Carnival at the End of the World to be ridiculously confrontational and revealing. That deck really gave me cards directly linked to my subconscious and made me work to understand it but was patient too. I’d love a video about how you do shadow work and shadow work in general. Furthermore, I’m curious about how you pick cards for a reading? I generally take the topmost card from my deck and that’s my card if that makes sense and then the cards at the bottom are clarifying cards. I’d also love a video about working decks and how you use different decks and pair them with oracle or with each other. Basically an in-depth description of how you use tarot. As for the person who made you feel your work isn’t good/good enough, fuck them. You’re doing great and try to forget about them!

Jakiyla, thank you for all the kind words and the suggestions! I'll work at a walkthrough of the Holy Spectrum and also try to do a comparison of the edition I have to the new one he has created with some commentary on the cards hopefully soon. Don't worry, I always feel like I'm struggling to understand many cards but it's in that struggle where a reading comes. For me, a lot of it is articulating it out loud verbally -- once I take pen to paper, I tend to overthink, so that's just... my suggestion LOL and it works for me. I loveeeee the Carnival deck and was considering putting it here. I think you're right about it showing figures from the subconscious and that's part of digging into shadow work. As for picking cards, I often shuffle until it feels right and then cut from the middle to get one card. I do this per card in a spread. I only look at the bottommost card when I feel like there's a deeper layer to dig into and only after doing a reading of the entire spread. I'll say this is more of just my style after doing years of readings and I can't say it'll work for anyone else hahaha. I appreciate your thoughtful comment as usual Jakiyla!!!

About the man who made comments about your KZbin channel: it makes me so sad and angry that someone would do that to you! Please try to forget this person. Leave it by that person. It says more about him than about you. People who are kind and have a good soul always receive nasty comments. And you want to do shadowwork why you want validation from this person, that is because you received unjustified criticism. Unjustified. And that hurts. Your content is ALWAYS outstanding. It is helpful. Meaningful. Insightful. You give everything great thought. I enjoy your videos so much! They are excellent! And you ar an amazing person yourself. Never forget that 💕

Corinne T_T you're so sweet!!!! Thank you so much for your encouraging words. It just so happened to be a family member I looked up to so I think there may be something deeper to that. I honestly have a thick skin so I don't know why he in particular got under my skin so much more than anyone would've. But you're also right: it was unjustified. I also don't use these decks that often because it's not easy to look at your shadow. It's quite a "deadly" cycle because I feel like you need mental strength AND health to do shadow work; but when you're repressing your shadow, it's hard to maintain good mental health. Ah well! I started watching this on my new phone and my first thought was "daaaaaamn Samsung makes good phones was my iPhone really that bad before?!" Lmao but yes the new camera looks great, I will edit my comment after I finishing watching Edit: if you're using a ring light you should angle it down and back and less full on, I think that's why you had a lot of glare in the beginning. These were all great recs, I actually just got the 2md Ed of tarot of the holy spectrum. I really like it but I haven't read much with it yet. Another deck i really like to use for shadow work is the marigold tarot. I also use the fountain tarot when I want to do some soul searching but want more detached messages. Sometimes I get really on the nose messages from the fountain tarot and I'm like, yeah I should probably deal with that lol Great video, this new camera is really nice

I was using sunlight but I was dumb and allowed the aperture to be wide open hahaha I wasn’t using the auto settings and am experimenting with manual settings 😂😂 I had so many issues with the coloring too in post. Thanks so much for your tips though maybe I should angle myself away from the window instead. Oooooo I love the new 9 of Pentacles that’s the card I want badly from the 2nd Ed. I like the idea of the Fountain Tarot for soul searching hmmmm it always felt a bit too ethereal for me but that makes so much sense. I guess sometimes a deck doesn’t click until there’s a purpose suited for it. Thanks for the suggestion my friend!!! I’m adding it to my wishlist 😂😂😂

@@BoyDiviner Glad I could contribute positively :) Yeah I think the biggest lesson I’ve personally learned is that when I’m going to do shadow work with tarot, depending on what I’m aiming to delve into sometimes it’s more beneficial if I use a /less/ harsh deck because it can offer serious messages in a softer way. When I know I’m in a headspace to take on whatever the unknown is then I will reach for decks like my Mary El, Japaridze, neon moon. The one I use very rarely but gives me the deepest darkest insights is the Tarot Restless.
