Best skiing 2022 (La Thuile - La Rosière)

The unique ski resort Espace San Bernardo - La Rosière/​La Thuile is located both in France and Italy.
The winter sports area is situated between the elevations of 1,190 and 2,800 m., right by Mont Blanc/Monte Bianco.

Found it rather less sunny - being largely north facing. Also less wide open and kind of icy.

Is it good for beginners?

No. It was my 5th ski holiday and I reckon I wouldn't have enjoyed half so much is I had gone in previous years with the same icy conditions as 2022. I wouldn't have attempted the black runs which actually, as it turned out, were easier even than some of the blue runs because despite them being steep they actually had some snow on them rather than the solid ice found on practically all the blue and half the red runs. Also over half the runs a red or black I think very limited green runs especially further up the mountain when the lower slopes closed due to lack of snow.

I was there from the 26th of December 2021 to the second of Jan 2022 and conditions were not great.
