People who are confusing why he said to put head in the West ,the answer is when you put your head in the west ,Sun from East will look at your face and body directly while when you put your head in East , Saturn from West is always looking at your face and body directly. That's the logic . Similarly why North is avoided because from South ,Lord Yama is looking at your face and body directly but when you put your head in South then lord Kumber looks at your face and body directly .

That's the only way Sun will look at your face and body directly and pointing leg towards Sun is not a problem as long as your feet is clean and you have pure intention of recieving his blessings. When you put your head in East ,Lord Saturn from West looks at your face and body directly. That's the logic.
