For the first question it preference for budget control, the machine doesn't care if you do that or not. And the second one depends on the game your playing, most modern games no, but for games like pinball or top dollar, it is yes.

I thought the buttons for Top Dollar were reversed the first time I got the bonus, haha. Got an offer for 115 ($.25) credits and was like "nah, no way!" Then hit the accept button because affirmative buttons are typically on the right but its on the left on these games haha.
