This is fascinating. I started fishing hellgramites this year and it’s been a great addition to my tackle box. I’ve compared the Nikko version to the Yum version and they both seem to work equally well, but the Nikko plastic is much tougher. One bait will last me all day while I go through an entire pack of Yum! I’ll definitely be trying more Nikko products this year after hearing how much thought goes into their designs

Can’t sleep on the hellgrammite for smallies on the Shenandoah! Big cats seem to like them too and the occasional musky (bite off). It was a huge upgrade from the lunker city hellgies I grew up fishing on the river.
