You should only need the bridge with the wired thermostat. The wireless thermostat has a thread boarder router built in.

I've had tado system for a year now, it's been brilliant hasn't skipped a beat the whole time, and yes it does save money by only heating the rooms it needs too

I've had this system for a few years now.. I found the tado smart TRVs constantly trigger the heating on in the house to heat a specific room. I used aqara TRVs instead, so only the primary Tado thermostat can activate the heating, but the aqara TRVs would knock off rads in various rooms when they reached temperature. The aqara TRVs are cheaper too.

If your boiler supports it, you would want to install a programmer that has open therm/ weather compensation, tado and hive are just glorified on off switches, save more money on gas if weather compensation is in use, i'm a heating/ gas engineer. They ok for what they are.

fyi : Tado X does work with Open Therm if you get the wireless starter kit.

Seems like a good alternative to the Google Nest thermostat. I like our Nest but it's not possible to set different temperatures in different rooms.

Other crazy thing is if you want to add other people to geofencing - they become admins - ie they can control everything in your system. There is no user permissions. Dad ended up deleting our whole heating system because of this! It’s also frustrating because if the person you want to add has their own tado system they are forced to leave their tado system to join yours.
