I was born and raised in Maldives. When i was young, even the resorts had fantastic snorkelling. Now, even protected reserves are 50% DEAD.

We could help them by re-planting..I saw a video that said dying corals can thrive if they are helped

The coral is mostly dead, you need to see STUNNING coraled areas, pristene, vibrant; not only corals, soft & hard but vertebrate species also. The Swains reefs @ the bottom of the Great Barrier Reef in Australia are highly recogmended.

Beautiful! I watch this video often. I’m blessed to be going to Patina resort for 12 glorious days starting June 15, a happy birthday trip. The resort has told me they’ll have a birthday cake for me plus a surprise! Just can’t wait. I’m shopping for bathing suits now, horror of horrors lol. You can’t get me out of tropical oceans. Gorgeous universes! And I love all tropical fruit too.

Its dangerous snorkling in Maldives , a Filipino newly wed couple just drown 3 days ago, the resort didnt provide a tour guide for them , such a Tragic death
@twovegannomads5 жыл бұрын
That is so sad. With our snorkeling trip there was a tour guide assigned to each person. I felt very safe and they always were just a couple feet away. They also have life vests on the boat incase you are not a good swimmer. My husband is also a dive master so he's pretty much like a tour guide himself. It is unfortunate that these kind of events happen but I hope it prepares resorts to offer better services so these things don't happen.

My fellow Filipinos pls stay in the Philippines..we have a lots of scenic spots and beautiful places here in our country.we even learned this since our primary and elementary years.we do not know how did they build their structures and resorts.maybe they are too at risks ..maybe it is because of technology wirings underwater that makes the water wild..maybe a hydro plant, we do not know .just beware ..its always safe here in our own native land. PHILIPPINES my Philippines..there's Boracay which was already renovated to best accommodate us..and we have the hundred islands. Stay safe and always put God first whatever occasion, whatever situation, wherever destination..safety first, God first.
