Thanks for the informative video. Would be worth mentioning that Solar Analytics charges ongoing fees for their services.

We second the #Fronius vote. Very happy with ours. Achieved 100% of nameplate capacity output today on our Primo at 8.05kW 👍

What's happened to SMA these days? Doesn't even get a mention ??

Yes that surprises me too, I have a Sunny Boy and Sunny Island, expensive, BUT have to say rock solid for the 4 years or so I've had them, software isn't so good, but the hardware is great !!!

@@AndyM... using SMA Energy app and Sunny Portal by Ennexos, which both provide useful data.The hardware indeed, are the best in the market. Bottom line is to always go for the best hardware: for efficiency, reliability and endurance, no cutting corners or costs, especially when incorporating energy storage devices.

@@peterpontikos3786 Cheers Peter, I do use the Sunny Portal which is OK, that shows me all I need to know...the SMA Energy app unfortunately isn't much use, the description shows it being able to show battery status (state of charge etc) but doesn't. I contacted SMA they said I needed the SMA energy meter to be installed, I asked why all that info couldn't be ported over from the Sunny Portal and didn't get a response. So although the Energy app looks easier and prettier is doesn't work for me and quite a few others that are off grid altogether.

Interesting review… Have you, or can you do one on Off-Grid applications at say 5kW inverters? I’m curious on Steca’s Solarix 5000 PLI

I have been using Latronics for over 20 years. No 'smarts' in their inverters but they are indestructible.....except for a couple of lightning strikes.

Hi, have a question on performance with a 10kw system, panels facing both NE and NW. Recently on a clear sunny day I was getting 38-40kw a day but with the rain I've been lucky to get 2kw is this normal? Thanks
@ElectricCarAustralia2 жыл бұрын
Yes, cloud cover has a huge impact and if raining output is even worse. I think your experience would be normal if the rain was reasonably heavy and consistent all say.

@@ElectricCarAustralia thanks Greg, yeah I thought the panels nowadays were a fair bit more efficient in the shade then the old days which they maybe but not as much as I thought. Thanks again, enjoyed your video of the trip to Kingaroy btw. Cheers!

@@ElectricCarAustralia that would be great, I've ordered one so will be very interested in what milage you achieve.

Replaced Sungrow with Fronius due to a high frequency noise issue , could not be happier . The fact that Fronius have all connections internally is much better . With Sungrow anyone can disconnect the wifi dongle and cables and run off with the inverter. The quality difference is worth the money and the inbuilt lcd display is heaps better along with the app and web interface. Sungrow support is poor compared to Fronius took us 3-4months to get an issue resolved buy Sungrow which they could not fix.

Seriously, you call 3-4 months good for resolving an issue.

What are your criteria to decide on which one is better than another? Without such information this video is useless.
@SolarQuotes2 жыл бұрын
As mentioned in the video - this is purely the results of a survey we sent out to our installer clients :)

@@SolarQuotes And that is what makes it useless to anyone trying to make a choice. So what is the point of it?

@@neddyladdy As mentioned in the video - we figure that if the people who are working with the products say "I'll put this on my own house" - that's a strong vote of confidence :)

@@SolarQuotes Each installer will tell what clients want to hear. Without any statistics and inverter failrate percent this review is useless. Where is SMA, Growatt?
