personally i use 1h spear with guardian helmet, assassin jacket & soldier boots.. its basically a pvp, pve, ganking, escaping and much more as long as you know what you are doing.

Awesome guide Leyvi - I will always support the spear pick for beginners, having all essential skills unlocked from the start is great. For the Mercenary jacket Bloodlust, I definitely recommend using R>E>W, the knockup guarantees ~3 extra hits of bloodlust before a purge or interrupt affects you, as long as you don't need mobility to escape.

Holy staff is a really good option in albion these days for beginners, the Q ability stacks damage, has low cast time and u get sustain on the W and E, especially if you use Divine Staff, the E is a game changer against bosses, the heals from W is really good

I wonder, if you had enough money, could you swap mercenary jacket with hellion jacket? The life steal in an area around you for each enemy is good in PvE and can solve the problem with you not being able to use forest of spears to it’s fullest extent. Also, it can do ok damage that might be enough to help with most things.

But, I have a lot of doubts about the learning point on the skill tree, for exemple: how much do I put on this spear build? It's necessary to put all points on spear specialization and spear fighter? How auto re-specialization works (mine is on because i saw a video that you advice turn on) If you can make a video about how the skill tree works, some advices, not just on builds but on other gathering skills as well it would be really really good.

Hi Nicolas, save your learning points for now and don't use them randomly. A lot of people think it's best using them on the life skills rather than the combat skills, but if you aren't interested in crafting or gathering it's alright to use your learning points on your specializations (outer circle of weapons) once you reach higher levels. So for the time being, don't use them. Level the things you are interested in manually for now by farming fame, whether it's solo dungeons, roaming mobs or through other contents. Once you reach 100 in a mastery and/or specialization, you get only 20% of the fame converted to fame credits. If you turn auto-respec on you get 80% instead. This consumes silver but fame and fame credits is very valuable therefore it's worth it. You can use the fame credits to level anything else you want with it. Hope this helps bud.

Yo Leyvi, wouldn't changing the helmet to Mage Cowl give some extra damage? When using a build similar to this one (The only change being Hunter Shoes instead of Soldier Boots), i felt like I lacked damage against bosses and other players, so I tried using mage cowl for said extra damage. What do you think?

It's a viable option but the damage Mage Cowl provides isn't worth the Hunter Hood or Guardian Helmet trade. Where both these helmets provide you strong defenses for 3-4 seconds with possible a lot of damage reflect on the Hunter Hood, the Mage Cowl simply adds damage equal to one or two more auto attacks and a Q. Bosses are only a matter of time before they die and with players you have to play the fight out with the spears, not go all in - it's not what the spears are good at

A particular build is as strong as the player's gameplay. I guess playing for few hours and trying most of the gears before committing to any particular build is very important. And btw as any veteran player would suggest try to be comfortable with atleast 3-4 different types of builds when it comes to pvp, you may never know what gets nerfed or buffed. Conclusion it doesn't happen over night, practice makes your gameplay improve, so go hunter CD often :D. GLHF

You can only equip an offhand if your weapon is one handed, are you sure you're using the one handed spear and not any other?

Assasssin Jacket's utility already is one of the end-steps for this build given its open world potential. I do think Hellion Jacket could work very great even if solo but I haven't tested it out yet. It could open up 1 vs 2 potential. Resistance Potions are the best overall potions for enemy encounters but based on the match-up you could also benefit from Healing Potions. Invicibility potions if you want more survivability and Poison Potions if you want to take a more aggressive approach

Hi, I am a more experienced player, I have all the armor for this build maxed out but I am wondering what the benefits of using 1h spear with that gear is. I always run battleaxe or greataxe and I tried 1h spear but can’t get it to work as well as either of those 2.

Greataxe has more damage and battleaxe has more sustain but both of them lack the mobility the 1h spear provides and the versatility it offers in gameplay. With the spear you can change your W to have a very different approach to fights whereas with both axes your approach is pretty much the same every encounter

Yw buddy, if you go with an Undead Cape and an Assassin Jacket and have your masteries leveled so you can use all W abilities you have a solid build for end-game. So pretty much everything is covered in this video, even the next step that turns it into a top tier open world build. If you want a different weapon or play style however you would have to go with a different weapon altogether

Torch is great because it provides cooldown reduction and attack speed which the spear both benefits from. And, it's also one of the cheapest offhands. Another good option is Taproot if you want to have a larger health pool but it's really expensive. Mistcaller is also good as it would make for lower cooldowns and even more survivability in the open world.

Is the bloodletter build that you showed in one of your older videos still viable? At the time it was really good for all types of content.

The current 2 Bloodletter builds that are being used the most are 1. the 'one shot bl build' which is Mage Cowl, Cleric Robe, Bloodletter and Muisak with high mobility boots to chase/escape; Soldier Boots would be a good pick for that one and 2. the 'bruiser bl build' which uses Facebreaker, Hellion Jacket, often with a Specter Hood for even more sustain and high mobility boots such as Demon Boots or Soldier Boots; pick the one you prefer. I personally like to roam in Bloodletter, Facebreaker, Hellion Jacket, Hunter Shoes and Guardian Helmet with Thetford as my cape - This is really good for all types of contents as well

Normal bow is fine as well but not as effective. It does have mobility if you take Frost Shot on W so that makes for open world survivability, but you would sacrifice a lot of damage for it. Nonetheless, the bow is fine. As for ZvZ you want to take the Spirithunter because it has a huge armor shred AOE.
