Sure miss those days. I drove for a logging company in the mid eighties. We ran Mack and Ford and a couple International trucks. Had 10 in all. My 1985 Ford LTL9000 had a 400 Cummins and I talked my boss into a straight pipe. He said well you're the one driving it. Drove it two years till a small town cop gave me a ticket for loud exhaust and boss said lose the pipe so I had to put the muffler back on it. I retired three years ago from a manufacturing job and wanted to drive again but for health reasons I can't get a medical card now. Hell back then you didn't need a medical card. I see the trucks up and down the road and think of how I had it made back then. Was 26 unmarried and care free. Seems a lifetime ago.....
