Camirra whoever said that you cannot use herbs and veggies in your food. For it to be considered Soul Food can't cook. I add so many herbs and veggies in my cooking all the time. This not only enhances the flavoring in your food, but it is also healthy. Camirra your food is quality and good cooking. Plus your channel is continually growing and increasing. The person who said that you can't use herbs in your food for it to be considered Soul Food. Should be ashamed of themselves and keep their opinion to themselves. "Salt and pepper only to taste is not it"

Another awesome meal. Your husband is a blessed man. I wish I could have a garden but last time we tried to grow vegetables we purchased some vegetable garden soil from a specialty soil plant that just killed everything. So we purchased some bag soil from Costco that should work but it has been so hot here in Texas, so we may not have a garden this year! I purchased some neck bones and ox tails to cook for Sunday dinner following one of your recipes, can't wait till Sunday!
@CamirrasKitchen2 жыл бұрын
you got to watch out for bagged garden soil sometimes. i tend to bury vegetable scraps in my garden in the fall to revitalize the soil. the worms come out and the micros in the soil increase. then mulch with leaves. but Texas heat is another type of hot haha

Recent subby here, I just want to say I love you're cooking-- you're such an inspiration. I really love that you grow a lot of your own veggies & herbs. I don't have a garden this season but I've been stocking up on seeds, LoL I just placed another online order (I'm addicted to vegetable & pollinator seeds). I don't know who suggested not using herbs in "Black" cooking, but from all over the Afro diaspora we've used herbs and aromatics in our cooking-- this person is really ignorant and their food is probably bland & salty. Anyhoo, keep up the good work, you're getting close to 100K subbies.
