Agree, but being taught the experience of others helps tremendously, because you don't have to find out the hard way. My parents didn't say much of anything to me other than expectation that I did well in school and became successful, but I found out for myself there's a whole lot of other details in dealing with people in the most effective ways in order to achieve what you want. Doing well in school alone is not enough, because there are so many who do as well or better than you. So all of the knowledge I gained through time and experience, I am passing down to my kids. They will forget, especially teenage boys, but by repeating, it goes into the subconscious, and hopefully when the teenage brain matures, it can make use of such information.

It all depends on how each person defines successful. For me lots of money doesn't define success. Lots of time to do what I want and travel around the world is successfully doing what I want. So this requires lots of money but not for show off or to impress others because I live two steps above homeless even though I can afford to drive whatever I want or live in just about any size house I want.
